Sugar Bowl Challenge ~ 62

It's time for a new Sugar Bowl challenge, and as always this is a fabulous one! This time the sketch has been provided by the amazingly talented sweetie Marlene and the optional theme is 'Summer'. Here's hoping Marlene, I think Summer passed us by this year! We did have one lovely sunshiny day on Tuesday, just to get our hopes up, then it was back to the usual dull, dreary, wet and windy weather that we are used to!

YES...I'm back to my true self with a Sassy image!
Hmmmm...not the best take on Summer but this gorgeous lady was begging me to ink her up so what choice did I have? And be honest now, you would hardly go out in winter dressed so skimpily would you? If she lived in Oldham she would need a liberty bodice and thermal thong under that dress even in June!
This Sassy lady is called 5th Avenue and available to buy HERE, she's been coloured with DI's and Nick Bantock inks, the papers are Prima Madeline, the odd pearl and a MFT die cut flower.

I flipped the sketch again as my chosen image was vertical not horizontal.

There's lots of fabulous new images due out very soon. Maria and the ladies on the Simply Sassy blog are having a blog hop this Saturday ready for the release of a new set of Sassy's and July 1st will see lots more new rubber at Funky Kits so keep checking the Sugar Nellie blog for further updates.
Some of the new stamps due out on July 1st are these....

Sherbet Pips

Aren't they just the most delightful and sweetest stamps ever? Which brings me nicely to the prize for the winner of this challenge, the full set of 5 Sherbet Pips rubber stamps.
So what are you waiting for? There's a fabulous sketch, an easy theme and a gorgeous prize so get your entries in to the Sugar Bowl where you will also find lots of inspiration from all the other talented Sweeties.

Thanks for looking and for any comments you may leave.
Love Elaine xxx

  11. I knew there was something I meant to send you in your birthday package, a thermal thong! How could I have forgotten? This is a great card, little on the wild side for you with all the patterns but I like it. Might even play along (did you just spit tea all over your computer?) cause I think the new stamps are kinda cute.

  13. Hi Elaine I do so agree with you over the thermals she would need even if she lived here in Gloucestershire, its a strong breeze and chilly feel in the air for sure and it keeps showering to. Stunning card though and the papers are gorgeous. hugs Shirleyxxxx

  14. Hi Elaine
love it, papers are yummy (very summery), image is cool, and I'm so pleased to see that your M.F.T. flower die has come out to play again.
I think you're right about the summer, (it came and it went), it's raining cats & dogs here at the moment.
    huge hugs

  15. You had me in stitches for I wondered what had possessed you to do wonky line matting, until I realized it was the pattern of the paper! Love the way you've matted the sentiment & your tiny pearl for her clutch bag. Now if it was you posting under the Sugar Mama alias i thought it was a good job! Also I like your mixture of NB & DI colouring - terrific. Aren't the NB inks amazing the way they become different colours with water too?

Love your Thursday Sugar Nellie post today.

  24. Hi Elaine, great card, your di technique is perfect = the papers are fab how you have used them and the slinky lady well!(I'd have my 60 denier tights under that (and if it were my mum she'd have an extra pair of knickers to to hold them up! lol) Just looked and the longest day will be with us soon = summer is nearly over and the nights will be drawing in so we had better make the most of what is left of "summer" - still not getting me in a kini though!
