Less is more!

'Less is more' is a saying I should use more often! I started to assemble this card and it was all going well. So why oh why can I not just leave well alone? Why add 'just one more thing' to an over fussy card? I suppose it's the same as the last chocolate that makes you feel ill, nothing to do with the other 25 that I stuffed down beforehand eh? I did figure I could get away with it as it was for my nieces 6th birthday, and being a little Princess, the more sparkle, glitter, bling, flowers and pink the better.
So off hubby went with cards and gifts, and I asked him if she liked the card? And yes she did, but not as much as the other card I sent - a Kanban kit which took all of 5 minutes to pop the pieces out and glue together! Typical eh?
List of goodies:
Bildmalarna stamp from Bunny Zoes,
DP is Bella Blvd from The Hobby House as are the pearls,
flowers are Prima, and another of the gorgeous crystal heart pins from Elaine at Quixotic Paperie.
She's coloured with DI's as is usual.
Thank you for looking

It'll Never Last.

Don't worry, posting everyday won't last!
This is the last one of my older cards that I'm going to show. If you've followed me so far, then you'll be expecting a card from March, right? Wrong!
I was going to post a Mothers' Day card but duh! I forgot to take a photo before I sent it. So let's forget all about the rainy month of March and skip straight to April.
This is the card I sent my hubby for our wedding anniversary. Yes, I know he's a man and it's got a flower but I didn't use a molecule of glitter on it so that's ok?
List of goodies:
Pure Innocence stamp, DP is Pebbles Inc. Legacy range from The Hobby House, the big, fat gorgeous crystal pin (which doesn't show up very well in my photo) can be bought from Elaine at Quixotic Paperie - if I didn't buy them all already! I love 'em. She's coloured with the usual DI's.

Thanks for looking.

The Day After The Night Before

Well, it's the day after the night before!
I was so worried last night that maybe I'd made a big mistake with trying to start a blog.
I don't even possess a camera so all photos taken are using the camera on my mobile phone. Not the best idea I know but it will have to do for now.
Thank you so much to everybody who left such lovely and encouraging comments, you all made my day!
Onto the card. Yesterday was a card I'd made in January, today is a card I made in February. You get the idea? Yep, I'm trying to buy some time until I can actually get something made.
I sent this as a Valentines card to my hubby.
List of goodies:
Stamp is one of my favourite Kraftin'Kimmie stamps from the lovely Elaine at Quixotic Paperie, DP used is Pink Paislee, flowers are Prima and pearls from the The Hobby House.
She's coloured with Distress Inks as always.
Thank you for looking.

My First Post!

Don't all faint now! I know I said I'd never have my own blog but I have had so much fun reading everybody else's blogs, and I get so much inspiration, that I thought it was about time I did it myself.
As a confirmed technophobe, I am very limited in my computer/blogger knowledge, so please feel free to offer any advice and please be patient with me.
I'll start off by posting a card I made for my lovely friend Gayle on the birth of baby Maya back in January.
The image is from my fave rubber supplier Sugar Nellie, the papers I think are Imaginisce, and I've coloured her with Distress inks. Flowers are Prima, as is the pearl swirl.
