Brown Paper Packages Tied Up With String...

Better late than never I guess!
I feel like I should be in the Dr Doolittle film...as the Pushmi-pullyu, as I'm not really sure which way I'm going, or whether I'm on my ass or my elbow! But it will pass, always does.
I am doing my best to catch up in blogland but it's taking a while, and there's 103 emails in my inbox, waiting for a reply. My apologies...but I'll get them answered as soon as I possibly can.

So...brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favourite things...

I did take a photograph last night but it was going dark and the photo is pretty crappy - no surprises there eh? So I searched through the internet for some product photos instead.

The ScrapCake...The Bright Side of Life 6 x 6 paper pad.
These papers are gorgeous and I used them on the card HERE.

Whimsy 'Hopeful' rubber stamp.

Tilda with Hawaii flower.

Marianne Craftables Dies.

And MFT dies.

Candy is open worldwide, though I am not liable for customs duties some countries impose.
The usual rule applies...just one rule...candy is open to my followers only...it's a little thank you.
Thanks for looking.

Kindness Comes In Many Forms...

...but always from the heart ♥
And I know how kind all you crafty folks are :)

Please spare a moment to read this post HERE about Alana. A beautiful 9 year old girl who's been diagnosed with a rare form of leukaemia.
We all know how a "random act of kindness" - like receiving a handmade card in the mail - can really brighten up a crappy day, make us smile and put a spring in our step.
So maybe you could spare a card to send to Alana, and brighten up this brave little girls day.

You can read all about Alana and how to get her address HERE.
Please help if you can.
Love & hugs

Sugar Bowl Challenge ~ 90

Good Morning :)

I'm back with a card for the new Sugar Bowl challenge, and this time we have a fab sketch to follow from one of our new Sweeties - Wendy, and an optional theme of "Love and Romance".

This is an older Sugar Nellie stamp..Luvvie from the Leanne Ellis range.
I adore this stamp and she does get more than her fair share of inking but I thought she was perfect for the theme. As always, she's coloured with a mix of DI re-inkers and markers.
Skin: Tattered Rose and Tea Dye.
Hair: Antique Linen and Vintage photo.
Pink shades: Spun Sugar and Victorian Velvet.
Green Shades: Shabby Shutters, Peeled Paint and Forest Moss.
The beautiful papers are Prima Tea Thyme.

As always, there is a prize chosen at random for one lucky winner, their choice of any 4 Sugar Nellie stamps, rising to 6 stamps if we reach 100+ entries.
Please check out all the other gorgeous cards over on the Sugar Bowl from my Sweetie sisters.

We have started a new group over on Facebook!!
Why not bob on over and take a look...it's a fab and fun group with a weekly challenge (and of course a prize) and you can post your cards or projects made with Sugar Nellie images.
There's always plenty to chat about with like minded Sugar Addicts, and above all...it's FUN!
You can check it out HERE.

Thanks for looking.

I Love Paper! And Rubber! And Paper!

I do love my rubber stamps and if you look after rubber stamps they will last you a life time. Which in turn makes buying new rubber a good investment...that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!

But paper...oh dear! Once you've made that first snip then it's all down hill :(
And heaven forbid I have to use the last piece of a set! It's a terrible addiction I have and there is no known cure. The only thing that helps me to cope with my shameful addiction is buying more paper to love and stroke:)

So imagine how ecstatic I was to discover that I can now purchase Scandinavian papers from the lovely Astrid and Kees at Creashop Duymelot.

Here you go Amanda....I made the photo bigger so you can see the papers!!
Some of the papers are like the one above and have 4 designs in 6x6 size per sheet, and some are 12x 12 designs, but all are delish!
The papers are due to arrive in the shop at the end of next week but you can pre-order them HERE.

In case you need a reminder..I used a couple of the designs of this card...

Along with my adorable chubby Sugar baby 'Lil Sweetpea from Funky Kits.

How nice am I to share this exciting news with you all? Very nice, but I did wait until I had got my own order in first. Couldn't run the risk of them selling out before I got a chance to buy them!!
Thanks for looking

Sweet Baby Girl ♥

Oh dear! I did say I would be catching up in blogland last weekend, but things were thrown a little off kilter, and blogging was the last thing on my mind.
My dad was taken poorly on Thursday and everything else went out of the window. Dad is 84 and Mum 80 and I guess you just think they will always be around, until you get a reminder that they are not getting any younger :(
Thankfully, Dad is now much better and he's got an appointment on Friday at the Stroke clinic, so we should hopefully know more after then.
48 and still Daddy's girl, guess I always will be.

I had a card almost finished and some candy to post too..need to take a photo of it yet, hopefully over the weekend I'll get myself sorted out and back on top of things again.

I rarely make baby cards, I rarely need to make baby cards, but we seem to be having a run on pregnant ladies, and they are all having pink ones so I thought I'd better make a start on some cards.
You know how slow I am, the little ones will be starting pre-school before I get around to making a birth card!

And just for a change, out came a Tilda! As always, she's coloured with DI re-inkers and markers.
DI Colours:
Skin - Tattered Rose and Tea Dye.
Pink Shades - Spun Sugar, Victorian Velvet and Aged Mahogany.
Blue Shades - Tumbled Glass, Stormy Sky and Faded Jeans.
The papers are Inkido Forever Collection (yes, again! I loves these papers a lot!)
Lots of dies used on this card...image is cut with a nestie and scallop nestie, butterfly is a set of MFT dies, flowers and leaf are Magnolia Clover and Vintage Daisy.
SU punches for the sentiment and SU Sizzix die for the strip in the middle..phew!

I'm sure I can enter my card into a challenge or two:
In The Pink challenge is 50 shades of pink...I'm sorry Christine that it didn't turn out quite as pink as I was hoping it to be, but I had to enter your 1st challenge :)
Totally Tilda challenge is to use Kraft.
Sweet Stampin' is Things With Wings.
Die-ing for a challenge is a fab sketch from Hazel :)

Thanks for looking, and always a huge thank you for any comments you may leave, even more so when I am so far behind myself!

Sugar Bowl Challenge ~ 89

Good Morning Sugar Addicts.
We are back (at long last!) in action after taking a break for our Summer vacations.

I apologise for my lack of blogging/commenting recently (I shall endeavour to catch up this week) we have been away ourselves on a little jaunt.
We only went up to the Lake District, not too far to travel as we had 2 small passengers on board with us.
I now fully understand - and appreciate - why Mother Nature stops women of my age (generally) from having children...cos we are too darn old! Sheesh but I'm knackered! And girls are so much more hard work than boys are! I was not thrilled when our two nieces were awake at 4.15am on the first morning...do they not know I need 10 hours sleep each night or I am very grumpy? Little Monsters!

Anyhow...back to the job in hand, my mind is all over the place, flitting here and there like a butterfly, must be because I'm overtired!
Today we have a new challenge over on the Sugar Bowl with a fab sketch to follow from Sweetie Maria and the optional theme of butterflies.

This sweet little fairy is Delia and as usual she's coloured with DI re-inkers and markers.
The gorgeous papers are Inkido Forever collection again...I just love this set sooo much, and of course they have butterflies on them :)
The butterfly embellies are a mix of MFT dies (above the sentiment) Prickly Pear dies and stamps (top left) and PTI dies and stamps (bottom left).
I think I managed to cover the theme this time!
DI colours:
Skin - Tattered Rose and Tea Dye.
Hair - Antique Linen and Vintage Photo.
Blue shades - Tumbled Glass, Stormy Sky and Faded Jeans.
Green shades - Shabby Shutters, Forest Moss.
Wand - Sparkling Lemonade, Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade.

As always, there is a prize chosen at random for one lucky winner, their choice of any 4 Sugar Nellie stamps, rising to 6 stamps if we reach 100+ entries.
Please pop on over to the Sugar Bowl and you can see the gorgeous cards from all the other Sweeties AND we have some new Sweeties that have joined our little family, I hope you will extend a very warm welcome to them all :)
Sadly, today will be Lilians last challenge..sniff sniff...I luvs Lils and am so sorry to see her leave us :(
Good luck in all you do Lilian..big hugs xxx
Thanks for looking.
