Totally Tilda Challenge ~81.

Good Morning my lovelies.

I know I've been quiet for the past few weeks. We've been getting the boy ready to go off to University, and last Saturday we drove down to London to get him moved into his flat. We said goodbye to Hal and drove to stay the night with my brother in Henlow...I cried all the way there, then cried for most of the journey home on Sunday.
Hal's having a fabulous time! He's made friends and is enjoying - probably too much - night's out in the capitol. On Thursday, his Uncle Tony was in London and he treated Hal to lunch at Jamie Oliver's Italian 'Angel' restaurant...and there was me, sat at my desk with a bowl of soup!  Next week is his Freshers week and then the work starts in earnest.

I've spent this week catching up on our laundry and getting on top of all the chores I'd neglected whilst we were organising Hal, and I think I'm about back to some sort of normality now.

Today we have a new challenge over at Totally Tilda, and the theme for the next fortnight is 'Food, glorious food'.
If you pop on over to the challenge blog you will find plenty of gorgeous inspiration from all the DT girlies.

I do wish Magnolia would label all their stamps with the name of the image! I've been calling this one 'Big Muffin Tilda' for weeks but apparently it's Ice Cream Tilda?
Is that or is that not a muffin case? It is to me!

She's been coloured with the usual mix of DI re-inkers and markers.
I've had the papers for a good while now, they are so lovely that I hate to cut them but it's about time I started to use stuff and not just hoard it!

Hope you weren't wearing any mascara?
Look after yourself - the university years will be gone in the blink of an eye.

  9. First off....... to ME they are muffins in a case like that, ------ Ice-cream would melt and fall over but who would put ice-cream in a cone where you can't bite the bottom off and suck the ice cream down !!! not that I have tried it lol BUT your card is worth the wait as usual.....
Do I think Hal will have shed one tear when you drove away ?????? OOOOOOOOO my ribs are aching lol.....it's hard to let go but you have made the first move,......bet there are plenty of nights out planned that you DO NOT need to know about lol

  12. I guess no matter how old our children are, we still cry when we send them off to school, lol. You'll be ok, mom.

I'm glad you used your pretty papers, I always admire how you put your DPs together to make a lovely layout. That's my biggest frustration and why I've been turning to CAS cards, lol. Your coloring is always gorgeous, too--beautiful job Elaine!

    Now, how about you?
    How are you managing?
It does get easier and I'm sure Hal is having a ball!
I think it is much harder on the parents than the kids.
Thinking of you, get stuck into some crafting to keep you busy, big squishy cyber hugs,

  22. Ow Elaine, while I'm reading this I can only think, so glad I didn't move back then. Poor mom (and me), think we would have both been crying all the time. But it's nice knowing he's having fun, and should have some too! Like crafting all day long ;)
Again your card is goreous! Love all the purple and Tilda is lovely inked-up! Got that problem too, I just can't put my scissors into some of my papers it seems.

  28. Hi Elaine, I left a comment on Sunday, but something must have gone wrong so here we go again. It's only natural to break your heart over Hal moving out, it's a sure sign of a good relationship with your grown up babies. Love your card, beautiful colouring of course you are so delicate with that brush. Her hair is gorgeous, it must take you ages to perfect it. Have a good week...Trish
