Hello Hello Hello I'm back!
I've had a lovely week off work and I've been nowhere. Just pottering about in my jammies for a whole week! I made a big effort not to turn my laptop on, as I go wandering off in blogland and before you know it the whole day has simply vanished before my very (square) eyes, and I had a large pile of jobs I wanted to work my way through. I have managed to get most of them done, the main one was my craft room. I started a clear out back in May and I wanted to finish the rest of the room off. I've got a nice little pile of DP pads and some stamps that need putting up for adoption, I just need to list/photograph them and I'll post them either tomorrow or Tuesday.
I did manage to make a couple of cards too, always a bonus when I get a little playtime.
I made this card for my sister-in-laws special birthday which was yesterday.
Happy 60th Birthday Lorna!! I just love Stella stamps, she's such a fun lovin' girl. I bet you must be fed up of seeing this paper line, but thankfully I'm getting down to the last bits of it now. I did intend to use BG Wisteria pad but I was too heavy handed with the purple inks so it didn't really match.
Image is Stamping Bella Stella with an Olive, DP is BoBunny Jasmyne, she's coloured with DI's, and I've thoroughly glossed her big, fat red lips and the olive.
Another card with no flowers, I think I must be ailing something!
I'm off to have a good old nosey at what you've all been up to in my absence.
Thanks for looking and for any comments you may leave.
Love Elaine xx

ReplyDeleteAlso had alot I wanted to do in my time of work but on the move for 2,5 weeks and a suuper moody 15 month old in the house it kind of got alot more messy this summer..Oh wish I had 1 week on my own at home then It might be a little cleaner (or a bunch of new cards and layouts...??)
This is a funny stamp, your sister will be amused.
ReplyDeleteI have also arranged day and stacked, placed in order of my things. It's nice when you have a little time for themselves.

Elaine it's beautiful. I love Bella stamps. I really need to get mine to work. And do some crafting as its all gone to pot recently. I'm glad you had a good break. I also seem to loose my days here in blogland and on farmville. Oh dear work is going to be a big shock isn't it!?!
ReplyDeleteNxxx
Oh Elaine - I'm so glad you enjoyed your time off. Its nice to have a week off and do almost nothing. Tidying your craft room must have been a big job (i know when I do mine it is. Mega clearing, and I find all sorts of bits and bobs I had forgotten I had).
ReplyDeleteOoooo some lucky crafters will be able to adopt those DPs and stamps you have going. Wish I was off tomorrow and Tuesday so I could take some off your hands hehe!
Love this image you've used, she is fab. Great for party going girlies who like to kick their heels at a good doo. Lovely colours and the dp's are gorgeous!
Have an easy week at work, just take it slow - will be manic tomorrow with it being your first day back and I'm sure things you left a week on friday will probably be waiting for you tomorrow. I hate it when that happens at my work. Argh!! When I go on holiday I wish I could split myself in two sometimes.
Hugs

Hi Elaine
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you had a lovely week, I think it's lovely to potter arond in your PJs all day lol. I have to clear my craft room, as I am moving in to a cabin in the garden, as I have just run out of room in my craft room rotfl, I am dreading having to clear it out lol. Now on to your card (as always) superbly coloured, love the image, your sister-in-law will be over the moon with it. You really don't need flower's on your card's (unlike mine), I have to smother mine because of my rubbish colouring lol.
hugs

Welcome back! Stunning card, loving that image, made me smile! Had similar week myself last week but did have the computer on mainly because it's my source of music entertainment while i'm in my craft room. Literally gutted the place, I have over 200 peel off sheets that I will never use as i'm so over them. I think everybody else is too so it'll be a nice donation for the school up the road for kids to have fun with. Here's hoping they think so too! LOL!!
ReplyDeleteHave missed you but glad you had a well-earned break. That was rather disciplined not to turn the laptop on! Good you got some craft time to yourself too. On the contrary I love the papers you have been using - mauve is one of my favourite colours though i don't seem to use it often. Take care going back to work - by the time you read this you will be as I'm behind with comments (had all the windows & doors replaced on the front of the house with ONE workman instead of two).
ReplyDeleteMuch love
