It's too quiet!

Blimey it's quiet in my house. I really miss my hubby and I can't wait for him to come home on Monday. Does that make me sad, mad or downright insane?
Of course by Monday evening when I've emptied his suitcase and sorted through all his dirty washing I'll be trying to remember why I missed him in the first place!
But the upside to no hubby is I've had much less washing and ironing - until he comes home of course - less cleaning and less cooking, which mean more playtime yay!
Unfortunately I can't show these cards just now, but here's one I made last week to send to my buddy Gayle for her wedding anniversary.

The image is of course a LOTV, a really useful one I think, I've used it for birthdays and thank you cards as well as anniversaries, I just stamp a different sentiment on the envelope.
DP is one of my favourite pads, Basic Grey Wisteria, I just wish I hadn't used the really dark purple one, far too dark in my opinion. A few pearls and nowt else.
I probably won't have the time to do any commenting tomorrow as I'm going to see my friend Linda after work, which also means I'll no doubt be feeling fragile on Thursday!

Thanks for looking and for any comments you may leave.
Love Elaine xx

  7. WOW....this is stunning! Your colouring is amazing & I love the way you have done the white edge and the soft lilac around the image. I think the dark purple is a great background for your image, it makes it really 'pop' out.

  14. Oh this is so gorgeous! I think I might have to order that stamp.. My mom said she would pay for some LOTV stamps as long as I get som eboy stamps and make her som cards.. (boys cards are so hard making!!)
My husband (he told me yesterday that I was not to call him hubby on the net, he thinks it sounds weird) I think I might get to order a new bug, but I might need to wait a moth or so, want a blue one though.. or a pink.. and they don't have those here in norway :( Well I'm supposed to get a new phone this month when it's released. Been waiting for it since may and talking about getting a new phone all year so I think october is a good bug month..

  20. I think the dark colours look quite sophisticated but love that paper and this image is on my wish list, I do plan on getting some lotv stamps but am having such a hard time choosing which to spend my birthday pennies on. I think this image is definitely on the list. Hope you have a good time with your friend and don't feel too fragile.

love your card, and I bet Gayle & her hubby will too. And as for you being mad,sad or insane you are none of these, we all miss our husband/partners/other half, when they are not there. I hope you have a good night out at Linda's, and hopefully you don't have too bad a hangover on Thursday lol.
