Blog Candy Winner

Good evening all, sorry this is so late, it's been a sod of a day again! All names for the blog candy have been written on papers, folded and tossed in a jar. A couple of entries were not entered into the draw as they were from outside the UK. Sorry ladies, I don't mean to offend, but rules are rules.
WARNING, the following scenes contain photos of a teenager!
This is not a "hairy husband hand" but a nice, smooth and bitten nailed hand of my little boy.

This next photo is a slightly strange shape? I was trying to crop out the missing plaster on the wall! When Hal was a toddler this was his room, and I bought a set of wooden alphabet letters and duly stuck them around the bedroom walls. Much to the dismay of the hubster, especially when he asked exactly what I'd used to stick them on with? Well Superglue of course! I have tried to remove some of them, but half the bloody wall came with them! Hence the missing plaster!

Please don't ask me why he's got a flippin' hat on! It must 100 degrees in that little room. Lord save us from teenagers. Ahhhh, you can't see the colour of his hair, it's "electric blue" at the front. I repeat, Lord save us from teenagers. There's a song by My Chemical Romance that I quite often sing called Teenagers Scare The Livin' S**t outta me! But I do love him - All the way to Mr Moon and back xxx.

Rubbish photo, well it was getting dark, so I hope you can all read the name.
Congratulations Shirley (Nannie Flash), if you can email me with your postal address and I'll get this little lot sent off to you.
Thank you so much all you lovely ladies for entering my little birthday candy.
I'll be back tomorrow with the Sugar Bowl Challenge.

I'm sorry I wasn't around last night to leave any comments, and I probably won't be around much at all this week, got too much going on! Normal service will resume shortly!
I'm back with the promised candy. My first candy was a roaring success, due to my lovely buddies posting it on their blogs and the lure of the hAnglars! No hAnglars in this lot though, so I hope you'll still like it and want to join in!
Nothing but rubber in this candy. These are my favourite stamps & stamp suppliers, although I've not shown all of them on my blog yet.
Sorry about the quality of the photo! These are all brand new stamps, all unmounted apart from TGF set which comes pre-mounted:
Sugar Nellie Manga - Sporty, The Greeting Farm - Sunshine Kit, Kraftin' Kimmie - Perfect Poison, Victoria Case for SCACD - Aud, LOTV - New Hat and LOTV - Little Nurse.

Rules of entry: This candy is open only to UK residents. You do not need to be a follower and you do not need to have a blog of your own. If you would spread the word it would be much appreciated.
(I said on my 1st candy that you need not be a follower, but I did notice after the candy ended quite a number of followers disappeared, so please follow only if you want to).
To enter please leave a comment and if you don't have a blog please check back or I won't know where to find you! One comment per person only please. Candy ends Wednesday 30th June 9pm.

Thanks for looking and for any comments!

Edited to add the text below:
Thank you to all my regular readers and commentors for joining in with this little birthday candy.
As there were a very nice and manageable amount of entries (and also because I don't quite have the hang of My Linky yet!) the names were written on papers, folded and placed in a jar.

My son was supposed to be picking the winner, but since he wouldn't come out of his bedroom just wearing his boxers, and I was fed up of waiting, I asked the hubster to do the honours.
Terrible photo! It looks like he belongs in the jungle with those hairy arms, and they're not really hairy in real life! If you zoom in though you can see the nasty burn on his arm. He was taking the Sunday roast out of the oven when he says the door swung back up and he burned both arms. One is ok but the other has really blistered. Silly sod! Mind you, I guess that means he won't offer to cook Sunday lunch again!

And hey presto!Houston, we have a winner

Congratulations Sandra (Crafty Nan). If you will email me your postal address then I will get this little lot sent off to you.
A big thank you again to everyone who entered. I will be back tomorrow after the other candy winner has been drawn. I don't quite know why this candy ended at 10pm and tomorrows ends at 9pm, must be the eejit who wrote it!

I'm Back!

I'm back, I think!  Please excuse my absence and my lack of commenting over the past week. In my defense, it was my birthday last week and I knew I had a couple of nights out planned, but I wasn't expecting to be out every night except Monday. Not good at my age, I'm pooped!
A big thank you to all my lovely friends for making my birthday a special day, I was well and truly spoiled.

Not being at home also meant I've not made any cards, and I needed a card in a hurry. Of course, being pooped also meant that everything I've done today I've done twice as I messed it up the 1st time.
List of Goodies:
Image is Stamping Bella, DP is Bella Bvd - Honey I'm Home from The Hobby House as are the pearls,
flowers are Prima, and she's coloured with DI's. That's about it. I'm off to catch up with what you've all been up to in blog land.
I'll be back midweek with the candy winners.
Thanks for looking and for any comments you may leave.

Thank you & LOTV Challenge Card

First off, thank you very much for all your comments on my previous post. I've now got a couple of craft shops I'm going to go and have a look around. As for the envelope for bulky cards, I've saved Heathers tutorial and I shall have a go at making my own. You are all wonderful, thank you so much!
It's been another of those weekends where I've not managed to make a thing, but I have got a card to show that I made last week.
I made my card for the Sugar Bowl last weekend, and whilst I had the papers out, I made another card using all the scraps up. I stuck this card in a drawer until after the Sugar Bowl challenge had been posted, then of course I forgot all about it.

I am going to enter this into the current Lili Of The Valley Challenge, I've used a circle for the image and not a rectangle, but I've looked at some of the other cards and seen circles so I hope it's ok? I have followed the rest of the sketch. The prize for this challenge is a host of lovely flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and  I would just love to win those, I certainly use enough of them!
List of Goodies:
Image is Fairies On Tiptoe from Lili Of The Valley, DP is the Girls Paperie from Quixotic Paperie, (sob, sob, I've used it all up now. But never fear, I've ordered some more!) flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, pearls are from The Hobby House and she's coloured with DI's. If nothing else, I'm consistent!
The distressing around the image is green, but alas, it still looks yellow on my laptop.

Thanks for looking and for any comments you may leave.

Help required please?

I know all you bloggers are clever folk, so I'm hoping someone can help me with 2 little problems.
Firstly, I love adding flowers to my cards, but some of these flowers are rather bulky. Does anyone know how to make an envelope for a 6" square card that will accomodate a fat card? But it's got to be simple!!
Or does anyone sell a template? I've seen a couple of tutorials but without the measurements.
Secondly, my stash of Bazzill cardstock is sadly very depleted so I need a good re-stock. Does anyone know of an actual shop in the Lancashire area that carries a good stock of Bazzill. I've bought off t'internet but I do find the colour on my screen differs from the actual colour of the card, and I keep buying colours that aren't quite what I'm after.
Any help that anyone could offer would be greatly appreciated.

I have a little candy almost ready to be posted on here. I'm just waiting for the postie to deliver the last little bit. Hopefully I'll be able to post it mid-week. I don't want to tell you exactly what it is or why I'm having a candy, but here's a little taster:

(It's not a big set of hAnglars like last time, so I hope you'll still like it and not all be disappointed!)
It's all rubber, and they are stamps from my most favourite companies, definitely a mixed bag.
So if you like the stamps I use on my blog, then you might like these too.
Hope you'll pop by next week and join in.

Thanks for looking and for any help!

Sugar Bowl Challenge 37

The sketch for challenge 37 has been provided by the uber talented sweetie Marlene and the option is a nice easy one - girly and feminine. Phew! Thanks Marlene for not saying 'distressed'. Just the thought of ripping, tearing and distressing brings me out in hives! I love this sketch, it's another fab one and a big thank you to Marlene.

The fabulous prize for the very lucky winner is a set of Nestabilities Labels Dies AND a pick 'n mix set of 6 Sugar Nellie stamps as chosen by the winner.
Doesn't the Sugar Bowl offer the best prizes ever?

The image is a Gorjuss Girl called 'Bear Hug' available here, the DP is The Girls Paperie from Quixotic Paperie, the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, and the pearls are from The Hobby House.
My legendary photography skills have come in again, the flowers are stickled to within an inch of their lives, you can maybe see it a little better if you click on the photo and enlarge it. And the inner hexagon is edged with green but unfortunately on my pc it looks decidedly yellow!
All the details are available on the challenge blog and don't forget to visit all the Sweeties.

Thanks for looking and for any comments you may leave.

Simples!

Sorry I've not been around, but the weekend was hectic. Very good but hectic. I did manage to sneak a couple of hours in my craftroom yesterday, but with time being so limited, it is a really quick and easy card with a very simple layout.

Very simples! I've still got a few cards to try to make for birthdays and other occasions in June so I haven't quite decided who this is for yet, and I'll add the sentiment later.
List of Goodies:
Image is a LOTV available here, DP is Basic Grey Kioshi from Quixotic Paperie, Flowers are Prima and Wild Orchid Crafts, pearls are from The Hobby House and the fancy photo corner thingy is a Sizzix die.
She's coloured with the usual DI's, one day I'll catch you all out and use my polychromos!

A note to all the ladies expecting parcels to say that they have all been posted 1st class today, so should be with you very shortly.

Craft Room Clearout - Update.

Thank you ladies for your quick comments. I am very pleased to say that this 1st batch of stamps have all been claimed. Everyone that has sent me their address, your parcels are all ready to go and will be posted 1st class on Monday.
The Post Office is so far away from work that I only go there once a week so I'd really like to post them all on Monday, so if possible could  Dianne at Crazycraftshed and Lisa at Lisa sparkle and stamps send me your address's please over the weekend? Sorry to be a pest!
I've got my Mum and Dad coming over this weekend, as it's my Dads birthday tomorrow ( he'll be 82, but don't tell anyone!) so I might not be around much this weekend.
I will try and pop some more stamps on if I can find a spare moment.
I've got some Stamping Bellas although I think there's only a few left now, and some Changito's.
There's a pile of PB stamps that I need to sort through yet! I want to get all these out of the way as I had planned to have a blog candy at the end of the month.

Before I head off to bed, a quick message for Sandra (crafty nan), can you drop me a quick email  at
elaine@livesey2.co.uk  and I'll write back with my ebay exploits.

Craft Room Clearout.

I've not had a chance to make a single thing this week. Work has been somewhat manic, so I've been late getting home every day. But I have finished sorting out my craft room, which is now all clean and tidy and minus a few rubber stamps.
Now I've made some space again, I can buy some new rubber!!
But what to do with the old rubber? I sold some on Ebay earlier this year, and to be perfectly honest, it was a bloody nightmare, never again!
So I shall start putting some on my blog and if anyone wants them then please leave a comment saying what your after. Sorry to be a pest, but because I'm giving them away, and will be paying the postage, then this is for UK residents only.
I'll put them on a few at a time, then when they've gone I'll put another batch on.

Bedroom Update and a Card

I'm almost back in action! Our bedroom is virtually finished now. The ceiling has been re-plastered, the new wardrobes are in and the bedside cabinets, new carpet has been laid, and we've got extra sockets too. We still need to do some decorating, we want a new bedroom door, and we have no lights in our bedroom yet. But most importantly, our bed is back in the bedroom! I'm far too old to be sleeping on a sofa bed, I'm shattered.
We've spent the last 2 days sorting through all the stuff that had to come out of the room, and putting everything back in it's place. The charity shop has had a fair few bags of stuff, the local tip had had a lot too.
I can never believe just how much stuff - or should that be junk?- that we can accumulate!
Since all the boxes were stored in my craft room I haven't been able to make anything yet this week. But since I was in "Spring clean" mode, I have cleaned out my craft room too, and I've a pile of rubber that will need a new home shortly.
It's my Mum & Dads 57th Wedding Anniversary today, but not being able to get in my craft room meant that I had to buy them a card this year. Also today it's my neighbours birthday. I had a root through my meagre supply of cards and I have sent her this one.

I made a few cards the last time I was off work on holiday, and I haven't really liked any of them. I don't think I like this MS trellis punch! I opted for a very quick & simply layout just for speed.
List of Goodies:
Image is a CC Designs Swiss Pixie from Quixotic Paperie, DP is Bella Blvd from The Hobby House, the flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts, and the tiny sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.

SWEETIE! Sugar Bowl 36 Challenge

I'm back. Did you all miss me? Huh? And have I got something SUPER SWEET to share with you all.
That little "Top Secret" something I was working on! I received an email a little while ago asking if I'd like to be a Sugar Bowl Sweetie. Huh? Would I? Let me just think it over for a nanosecond?
I nearly wet my pants, although I'm not sure whether that was with excitement or terror. When I started making cards one of the first places I visited was Sugar Nellie and I was always blown away by the talented ladies on the Sugar Nellie DT and the Sugar Bowl Sweeties. These girls are my heroines, boy I hope I don't let the side down! Also new to join the Sugar Bowl Sweeties is Sarah who I'm sure you will all know from her incredible work on the Sugar Nellie DT.
I'm thrilled to be working with such amazing talent. I'm honoured, I'm excited, I'm chuffed to bits and lastly I'm a wee bit terrified. So without further waffle:

The sketch for challenge 36 has been provided by Lilian and the option is pink, white and black. This is a great sketch and one I know I'll use again.
The fabulous prize for the lucky winner is 6 Sugar Nellie stamps, chosen by Sugar Nellie, so that'll be a sweet surprise for the winner, AND 6 Distress Inks.

List of goodies:
Image is a Leanne Ellis design called Bluebell available here, she's coloured with my usual DI's, the flowery pink and white paper is Jilli Bean Soup (egg drop soup - ground ginger) the dark pink paper with white spots is out of my scrap box.The flowers were made with a Nellie Snellen punch with another scrap of dotty black and white paper and a Do crafts punch for the tiny pink flower, held together with a pearl brad. A black button, a little black rub-on in the bottom corner and 3 black Kaiser pearls to finish.
Please head on over to the SUGAR BOWL and take a look at the stunning work from the other Sweeties, and please check the entry rules out too.

Thanks for looking and for any comments you may leave.
