Blog Birthday Candy ~ No2.

On to No2....I always read the comments left here and taking the advice of my followers this next candy has a Christmas theme, though I have to admit that it's FAR too early for me to think about Christmas yet! Maybe if I was as organised as my blogging buddies then I would manage to make more Christmas cards than I usually do...between 4 and 6 is about the average!

The rules of entry are the same as always :)

Candy consists of:
My Minds Eye 6x6 paper pad 'Be Merry'.
Whimsy sentiments stamp set 'Winter Notables 1'.
Whimsy 'Notables 1' die and 'Elegant Notables 1' die which both coordinate with the sentiment stamps.
Whimsy Wee stamps 'Let it Snow' and 'Winter Fairy'.
A card of red/white gingham ribbon and another of cherry/white Divine Twine and some Christmas charms.

Thanks for looking.

Thank you to all my lovely followers for entering my little candy, your continued support and comments are always appreciated.
Mr Random has picked a number...

Congratulations to Liz, I will get your parcel in the mail on Monday or Tuesday :)
I'll be back later tonight with the next candy...I just need to finish a couple of chores first and write up the post.

Blog Birthday Candy ~ No1.

So...I took the advice of the majority and I have split the candy up, so the parcels are smaller but there are more parcels to give away. Dang it! Why did I listen to you? Because I value your opinions, but my photography skills are non existent and there's more photos to take! I just plonk the stuff down on my craft table, whip out my phone and take a photo...you may have to squint to see what's on offer, but I will try and put links to the items so you can view them properly :)

I spent all yesterday afternoon assembling the parcels into what I hope goes together, making up parcels that I would be more than happy to receive in the mail, though there are some items left over that go with absolutely nothing! Maybe they can be 'spot' prizes? Oh and then I found a bunch of Christmas stuff! Is it too early to mix in some Christmas themed parcels?

OK..let's get the boring stuff written down. I'm just going to type this once - too lazy to keep on doing it with each candy - but my regular readers will know what I'm going to say anyway.
Candy is open worldwide but I am not liable to pay the duties that some countries impose.
One rule of entry..you must be a follower. The followers are what make the whole blogging thing worthwhile and they are the ones who should benefit. I'm sorry if this offends - as it often does - but my candy = my rules.

Time for a bad photo....

Candy consists of:
A full set of 12 double sided sheets of Pion Design papers 12x12 size called From My Heart 2.
Lili of the Valley clear stamps Love Sentiments.
From the Hobby House there is a Pearl Heart Flourish set, a pack of Adhesive Pearl Hearts, and a pack of lace, and some love themed charms thrown in too. I've highlighted the items I can find on websites so you can get a better view of them :)

Sugar Bowl Challenge ~ 82

A big thank you to everyone who left me a comment on my last post. Your input is very much appreciated and I shall take the advice of the majority. I will get some photos taken at the weekend :)

I am back with a card to share today! My mojo is still on vacation but I have missed the last 3 Sugar Bowl challenges and that simply won't do! We have another fab sketch, this time from Sweetie Maria with an optional theme of "Scrolls and Swirls".

This is an older Sugar Nellie stamp but I luv Luvvie! She's a real sweetie pie and one of my most inked stamps. As always, she's coloured with DI's, the gorgeous papers are Inkido from my favourite Dutch shop Crea Duymelot (thank you to Maria for getting me addicted to another range of papers!).
Embellishments...whoa! look at all them embellies! There's a swirl of pearls from The Hobby House, a Prima flower layered onto a lace flower (made by my own fair hands too!!) and held together with a Pearl Brad, a stamped and die-cut butterfly and finally - phew - a few more pearls.

The prize for one lucky winner chosen at random is their choice of any 4 Sugar Nellie stamps, rising to 6 stamps if we reach 100+ entries.
As always, there is a fabulous gallery of cards from the other Sweeties over on the Sugar Bowl to give you a little inspiration :)
Thanks for looking.

Your Opinion Would Be Greatly Appreciated :)

In 10 days time it will be my blogs 2nd birthday..blimey that went by quickly! And so I have been gathering stuff in readiness for a candy for my current followers. So tonight I got it all down from the cupboard to see exactly what I had amassed...a rather large and varied pile of stuff! It's a mixed bundle of "my favourite things".
Card blanks... papers and pads from Pion, MME, First Edition, Tilda and Prima...toppers from The Hobby House along with paper bags for altering...stamps from Whimsy, LOTV, Stampin'Up, Kaisercraft and sentiments...some nesties and of course embellishements...pearls, flowers, brads, pins, lace etc.

I could offer one big candy or split it into 2 candies or I could make up smaller parcels comprising of papers, stamps and embellishments in each.
So my question is: Which sort of candy appeals to you the most? The ones where there is one large prize on offer or the ones where there are smaller prizes but more of them?

Thank you in advance for any help.

Happy Easter and A Shout Out.

A bit late in the day but a Happy Easter to all my lovely bloggy buddies, I hope you all got lots of yummy chocolate. The boy has decided that being 17 is no fun anymore...the only chocolate he got this year was off me, and he still remembers fondly the years gone by when he had eggs by the dozen. There was a bit of sulking going on today, though I did remind him that he was darn lucky to get anything at all this year!

I wanted to give a shout out about some candy...whilst I was at The Hobby House last week, Jill was gathering together this gorgeous pile of goodies for a candy she was making up for a customer...I can assure you that it's even more delicious in the flesh as the photograph doesn't do it justice (though please don't tell my husband I said that as he was the one snapping the photo!) The candy is being offered by Hazel as a thank you and to celebrate her 100+ followers.
I met Hazel at Harrogate last year and she is a lovely lady as well as a very talented crafter, and it's well worth a visit to her blog to check out all her gorgeous cards.
I love this candy and it's exactly the sort of prize I would love to win myself but I didn't enter it as it doesn't seem fair when I bought the same things for myself last week...don't want to be greedy!
Plus I also bought extras ready for my own candy later on this month :)
Go check out Hazels blog HERE.

Thanks for looking.

And I'm back home...

We are back home again after enjoying a fabulous couple of days away in Tetney. We went in Bessie - the other woman in Phils life is Bessie, his motorhome, which I am allowed to stay in only if I've been very good...so not very often :)
We stayed on a little caravan site called Little End Corner which was so quiet and peaceful, overlooking a fishing lake, but best of all it was just a few minutes drive away from who we were visiting...the lovely Jill, owner of  The Hobby House.
I spent all day Monday with Jill, and as the shop is closed on Mondays I had the place to myself...I always knew I was special :) And on Tuesday we went back again while Phil finished what he was doing and I did a little more shopping...well it would be so rude to not make the most of the opportunity!
Jill is one of the nicest people I know, she's such a lovely, fun lady and I can't believe how quickly the days went.
My heartfelt thanks go to Jill for putting up with me for 2 full days :)

As many of you know, Jill had closed The Hobby House webshop while work was being done on it and now it's back up and running again with an all new fresh look...very stylish and classy and there are lots of new products too, loading all the photos is a work in progress so keep checking back!
Nosey old me had a good mooch about with lots of oooing and ahhing at all the lovely new goodies which of course I had to buy...would've been against the "unwritten crafting law" not to and you know that I'm a law abiding citizen of blogland.

Just a little portion of what I came home with :)
I bought some extras ready for a candy later on this month.

Hal also had a great time while we were away...too great a time I think, judging by the amount of cleaning we've done since we got home! I think he has learnt a valuable lesson...choose your friends wisely, and those that deface your parents house while they're away are not friends...particularly Scott who thought it a blast to draw smiley faces in permanent bright blue marker on the light switches!
I was not a happy Mummy at all.
OK, I'd better get in the kitchen....humble pie for Hal :)

Wishing everyone a very Happy Easter.
