The sketch for challenge 37 has been provided by the uber talented sweetie Marlene and the option is a nice easy one - girly and feminine. Phew! Thanks Marlene for not saying 'distressed'. Just the thought of ripping, tearing and distressing brings me out in hives! I love this sketch, it's another fab one and a big thank you to Marlene.
The fabulous prize for the very lucky winner is a set of Nestabilities Labels Dies AND a pick 'n mix set of 6 Sugar Nellie stamps as chosen by the winner.
Doesn't the Sugar Bowl offer the best prizes ever?
The image is a Gorjuss Girl called 'Bear Hug' available here, the DP is The Girls Paperie from Quixotic Paperie, the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, and the pearls are from The Hobby House.
My legendary photography skills have come in again, the flowers are stickled to within an inch of their lives, you can maybe see it a little better if you click on the photo and enlarge it. And the inner hexagon is edged with green but unfortunately on my pc it looks decidedly yellow!
All the details are available on the challenge blog and don't forget to visit all the Sweeties.
Thanks for looking and for any comments you may leave.
Love Elaine xx

Another stunner - I love the way you've done her hair - now what I'd like to know is do you chose your papers first or decide on the colours you like and find the papers to match afterwards - chicken or egg comes to mind! Caroline

Hi Elaine- ditto to all the above- fabulous card and how I wish I could colour like you. Would you ever consider doing a short video on how to colour? I think it would be very popular.

Many hugs,
Trish xx
Your use of pearls is definitely an education. I was thrown by the ribbon attaching but your illustration has made me less fearful. Again thanks for such encouragement.
ReplyDeleteLove the oclours & that unusual paper behind the main panel.

Ooooooo, another gorgeous creation!! Your DI colouring is just amazing ... ever thought of maybe, just maybe, doing a few tutorials for those of us who really would like to learn how to use them? (...me, LOL!!) I do love my Copics, but I really want to learn how to colour with DIs like you!!! xx
ReplyDeleteHi Elaine
ReplyDeleteI am doing this back to front, I will blame it on my busy week-end lol.Love your card, I love how you have managed to make the two cards look so different (even though you have used the same papers) very clever, love these papers they are so pretty. I wish I could come up with such good ideas. My mojo left me last week and I havn't been able to find it yet, I am thinking about putting up a reward for it's return lol.
hugs
I think I am too late for this challenge but I will be back. Beautiful card Barbara
