Dandelion Girl...

Another card I've had made for a while but not had a chance to blog...I'm so bad but also so short of any spare time this month :(

This beautiful image is Dandelion Girl created by Sylvia Zet and available to buy as a digi image HERE or as a rubber stamp HERE.

I already had this image as a digi and I bought her in rubber form when I was shopping at Harrogate and filling my basket at The Hobby House

As always she's coloured with DI's, mostly the markers this time.
The papers are Pion...yet again! I love the set Alma's Sewing Room
Magnolia Doo Hickey dies for the flower and swirl, Martha Stewart butterfly punch, the sentiment is from Elzybells and stamped onto MFT Mini Tabs Quartet.

Wishing all my lovely friends and followers a very Happy Easter.

Big hugs

Little Tilda's Christmas.

This card has been sitting in a drawer for the last fortnight.
I keep taking it out and sighing and then back it goes in the drawer.

I love this very sweet Little Tilda image.
I adore the delicate Pion 'Silent Night' papers.

I do prefer my cards to be clean and simple...but this is just too darn plain even for me!

As always, the image has been coloured with DI re-inkers and markers.
The sentiment is from a PTI set.
MFT die for the snowflake with a little rose in the middle, a satin ribbon and a sprinkle of pearls.

I have tried every bloomin' embellishment I can think of...lace, buttons, more snowflakes, more flowers, swirls, charms, tags...nothing looks right.

*sigh*
I admit defeat.

Bloomin' Marvellous Harrogate!

Before I fall asleep..yes, I'm cream crackered but more of that later...

The Bloomin' Marvellous stamp set goes to...

Oh, oh, I'm free! I mean I have a home for these! Have a great time at the weekend. X

Mrs Fluff'n'stuff Faye, please EMAIL me chick with your full postal address and I'll get this popped in the mail to you.

Back to Harrogate...I had a wonderful time but I'm flippin' shattered today, it was the two Christines that wore me out!

Without a doubt, the best thing about going to the show is meeting up with my buddy's:

Christine...and the lovely Barry, who me and Phil stayed with on Friday night. They are both wonderful hosts and we had a fab time. Thank you kindly for your hospitality...though I'm sure as we were driving away I heard Barry say 'quick, bolt the bloody door so they can't come back' lol!

t'other Christine...who is an absolute sweetheart and had me in stitches. I have to tell you though that she's a little minx and kept trying to lead me and Christine astray and buy more stuff than we intended to buy!

Just before lunchtime we met up with some more buddy's...Hazel, Mau who brought her lovely hubby and daughter, KathLisaShellDianneNina and Avril. They are all such lovely ladies and I could quite happily have spent the rest of the day chatting if there hadn't been money burning a hole in my pocket!

Later in the afternoon we went for a coffee with Jill but not before I'd visited her stall at the show and filled my basket with lots of lovely goodies.

I did manage to buy the 3 things on my list plus a couple of other teeny weeny things, but nowhere near as much as the two Christines bought...sheesh but there's no stopping those two :)

Ok, thanks for looking and I'm off to my bed.
Big hugs

Bloomin' Marvellous!

February was a good month in the crafty department, I was far more productive than usual and managed to show a whole 5 cards during the month ha!
March is a different story, but I already knew I had a lot of stuff going on this month and my play time/computer time would be almost nil.
I do have a card made but haven't had a chance to photograph it yet.
I also have a little candy ready but haven't had a chance to photograph it yet.
*sigh* can someone come over and do my photo taking please?

The best thing about March is the Great Northern Papercraft Extravaganza (the craft show at Harrogate) which takes place this coming weekend. I am so looking forward to going!!
I don't actually need anything...my shopping list comprises of 3 items:

1) Pokey Tool
2) Staz-on cleaner
3) Blank cards

A bit boring huh??
I'm sure there will be something there that I will NEED to buy, there always is.
The best part of the show for me is catching up with good friends, and I'm excited to be meeting up with Christine, t'other Christine, Mau and Jill, over a coffee and a natter (and I've just heard that Lisa will be going too)

I'll get back on here with something to show you as soon as I can, but this month is busy for just about all of it, so I hope you will excuse me if I'm not around much.

I'll leave you with this....

I've got two of these foam mounted stamp sets from Stampin' Up , and so a spare set if anybody wants this one?
I'll get my boy to pick out a name on Sunday afternoon.

Some Fabulous News and DT Call

I meant to post this yesterday but time ran away from me...I was off shopping after work to buy some birthday and Mother's Day gifts...just need to make some cards now!

If you ever clicked on the 'Links' tab below my blog banner, you will see a list of my favourite shops, and a write up about The Hobby House. There is the on line shop and also a bricks and mortar shop, which is very well worth a visit. Apart from a shop that's packed full of delightful goodies, there is also a cafe which serves the most delicious lunches..I can testify to that having eaten there :)
If you go to visit the shop then you need to be prepared to spend a good while in there! Jill stocks a wide variety of crafty goodies and her selection of embellishments is second to none.

So today's post is to tell you that the Hobby House now has a Blog and a Challenge blog.
The new blogs are being introduced and celebrated with a lush candy HERE and there is a DT call HERE.

If you are looking to apply for a DT position this year, then this is the one to apply for ♥

I will - hopefully - be catching up with Jill at Harrogate on the 16th over a coffee if I can drag her away for 10 minutes!

Sugar Bowl Challenge ~ 101

I'm back today with a card for the new Sugar Bowl challenge.

When making a card, the first thing I do is to choose the stamp I want to play with, and then I pick the papers, in the hope that my colouring will compliment them.

The image is the ever-so-delicious Delia.
As always, she's been coloured with DI re-inkers and markers.
The pretty papers are Pion ' Fairytale of Spring' - Lily of the Valley.
The sentiment is from a set by Whimsy.
The flower is cut from Stampin' Up canvas using the  MFT Die-namics layered rose die.

The challenge is 'Anything Goes' and the only rule is that you must use a Sugar Nellie image, either a rubber stamp or digi image.
The prize for one randomly chosen entrant is their choice of any 4 Sugar Nellie stamps.

I have been asked to list the shades I use to colour the image...I'm so sorry that I keep forgetting to do this!
Flesh Shades: Tattered Rose and Tea Dye.
Hair: Antique Linen and Gathered Twigs.
Greens: Shabby Shutters, Peeled Paint and Forest Moss.
Browns: Antique Linen and Walnut Stain.
Yellows: Scattered Straw, Mustard Seed and Rusty Hinge.

To view the other Sweeties beautiful creations please visit the Sugar Bowl.

Thanks for looking.
