This card has been sitting in a drawer for the last fortnight.
I keep taking it out and sighing and then back it goes in the drawer.
I love this very sweet Little Tilda image.
I adore the delicate Pion 'Silent Night' papers.
I do prefer my cards to be clean and simple...but this is just too darn plain even for me!
As always, the image has been coloured with DI re-inkers and markers.
The sentiment is from a PTI set.
MFT die for the snowflake with a little rose in the middle, a satin ribbon and a sprinkle of pearls.
I have tried every bloomin' embellishment I can think of...lace, buttons, more snowflakes, more flowers, swirls, charms, tags...nothing looks right.
*sigh*
I admit defeat.
Thanks for looking
Love
Elain!!!! leave it alone, it's beautiful as it is hon and doesn't need another thing to enhance it. I love it. Your colouring of Tilda is spectacular.

Elaine, this is absolutely gorgeous! Your coloring always amazes me. Actually you could just post your colored image w/o a card and I would still be happy stopping by for a look lol! I think your embellies are perfect and I'm so glad you took her out of the drawer to share :)
ReplyDeleteI'm going to disagree - the rose with the snowflake is a lovely touch & I like the way the layered horizontal panel with the ribbon echoes the layering of her socks. Also I think that the angle in the patterned paper is where she should be: visible & your pearls echo the colour included in that image.

It is very pretty the way it is but I see what you mean, it needs just a little something. How about restamping the sentiment on a banner and popping it up? Maybe on a contrasting cardstock like white on blue to pick up the angel? You did ask and you know how I like to voice my opinion...
ReplyDeleteElaine, it's perfect in every way. Your pulled out a beautifully colored Tilda & some pretty paper & you can easily relax. It's BEAUTIFULL, it's DONE & I LOVE it !!!Still didn't hear what all you bought on your shopping craft day ... Fess up girl, I wanna see pictures !!!
