Just for Fun...Rowan Fairy

Good Morning my lovelies.

I popped this card on Facebook last week, but I've only just realised that it didn't post on here. I started writing a post and I found it in my drafts folder this morning *sigh*

And so....

This is the gorgeous Rowan Fairy created by the very talented and also very lovely Sylvia Zet.
The image is available to buy as a digital stamp HERE or as a rubber stamp HERE.

She's been coloured mainly with DI markers....an usual colour combo for me. I'm not a huge fan of orange or red but as she is a Rowan Fairy and I wanted to colour the berries red, then that sort of led me on to oranges, and almost Autumnal shades.
The papers are from a very old set, Bo Bunny Kitchen Spice.
Some punched flowers with crystals in the middle, a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp along with the coordinating banner die and a few pearls and that's it.
A very simple card but when an image is this beautiful, it has to be the focal point.
(that and the fact that I'm rubbish with embellies!)

Totally Tilda Challenge ~81.

Good Morning my lovelies.

I know I've been quiet for the past few weeks. We've been getting the boy ready to go off to University, and last Saturday we drove down to London to get him moved into his flat. We said goodbye to Hal and drove to stay the night with my brother in Henlow...I cried all the way there, then cried for most of the journey home on Sunday.
Hal's having a fabulous time! He's made friends and is enjoying - probably too much - night's out in the capitol. On Thursday, his Uncle Tony was in London and he treated Hal to lunch at Jamie Oliver's Italian 'Angel' restaurant...and there was me, sat at my desk with a bowl of soup!  Next week is his Freshers week and then the work starts in earnest.

I've spent this week catching up on our laundry and getting on top of all the chores I'd neglected whilst we were organising Hal, and I think I'm about back to some sort of normality now.

Today we have a new challenge over at Totally Tilda, and the theme for the next fortnight is 'Food, glorious food'.
If you pop on over to the challenge blog you will find plenty of gorgeous inspiration from all the DT girlies.

I do wish Magnolia would label all their stamps with the name of the image! I've been calling this one 'Big Muffin Tilda' for weeks but apparently it's Ice Cream Tilda?
Is that or is that not a muffin case? It is to me!

She's been coloured with the usual mix of DI re-inkers and markers.
I've had the papers for a good while now, they are so lovely that I hate to cut them but it's about time I started to use stuff and not just hoard it!

Totally Tilda Challenge ~ 80

Good Morning my lovelies!

It's time for a new challenge over at Totally Tilda and the theme for the next fortnight is "Gardening Tilda".
For this challenge you are required to add seed packets or gardening tools to your creation...or both!

I feel I should warn you first....I went a bit crazy with the embellishments on this card!

I got this super cute image - Poppy Tilda - for my birthday (thank you Maria ) and she's been waiting patiently to be inked and coloured with the usual mix of DI re-inkers and markers.

Despite having many charms, when I went through them all there wasn't a single gardening tool amongst them, so I was very happy when I remembered the Pion Vintage Garden papers include some seed packets ready to be cut out and assembled. The sentiment is also cut from the same papers along with the two little butterflies.
A few pearls, two ribbons and a button...PHEW! But that's a lot of embellies on one card!

Christmas Is Coming!

Well, my week off work is over and it's back to the grindstone again.
I always have a list of jobs I want to get done when we're off work, but this time none of them got ticked off the list - darn it!

But we did do other stuff...we enjoyed a lovely meal out with Emma and her beau at our favourite restaurant. I learned 2 valuable lessons...that Emma is a terrible influence on me *cough* and that I'm far too old to consume champagne, wine, champagne cocktails and shots without suffering the consequences the following day.
We also had a lovely dinner out with Phils Mum, and an equally lovely lunch out with my parents.

With only a fortnight left until Hal travels down to London and Uni, I took him clothes shopping to top up his wardrobe, and then it was shopping for all the other stuff he needs...pans, wok, cheese grater, cooking utensils, oven tray, duvet, tea towels, dish cloths, the list goes on and on, and not forgetting the most important item...toilet paper!
There's a few bits we still need to buy for him, but I think most of it's done now.

So, not much was done in the crafting department at all.

I made this card a couple of weeks ago and it's pretty much the same as the card I made here.
Same image, same colours, papers from the same range...

I love the image Little Tilda and wanted to make another Christmas card with her.
Coloured as always with DI re-inkers and markers.
The papers are Pion Design Silent Night.
Joy! Crafts Winter Wishes Ice Crystal Border with Frantage on the tips.
A sentiment from PTI, a poinsettia made with spellbinders dies, and a few pearls.
