Good morning my lovelies.
I'm here today with a challenge card. I really don't like to make one card to cover two challenges but I've had very little time this last month to spend in my craft room. This year we have been plagued with illness's in the family and my mojo has been well and truly sapped.
I've waited so long for my new craft room and now that I've got it I just don't have the time to spend in there, but I know things will turn around again.
So, today's card is for the Totally Tilda No 101 challenge where the theme for the next fortnight is "Mid-Summer Christmas" and The Ribbon Girl card challenge where the theme for the next week is "Anything But A Square". Two fabulous themes!
The circular card base was cut with a Lifestyle die.
The paper is from Pion Design "Swedish Lapland" collection and has been cut with Lil' Inker Stitched Circle.
This is my first attempt at colouring with Sennelier L'Aquarelle watercolour paints. You can blame my friends in the Netherlands for leading me into temptation!!
I'm not so happy with the flesh colour on this Tilda but it's all part of the learning process, and I've since found a different colour combination that I think looks better.
The sentiment is from Stampin' Up, and all the embellies are from The Ribbon Girl.

Beautiful card, the colouring looks so pretty with the watercolours. You make me feel quite tempted by this but as I already still have to practice with my Copics, Distress Inks and Inktense pencils I'd prolly leave well alone, lord knows where I'd even put them! Sorry you aren't getting to make the best use of your craft room at the mo (though at least it stays mess free and shiny!), but I'm sure that will change soon. So lovely to see your pretty cards appear again :) xx
ReplyDeleteI think your watercolors look beautiful, and at a cost of $500 for a card they damn well should right?!! Hahaha
ReplyDeleteUtterly adorable Elaine, Still love your card hon and of course that amazing colouring. Do you realise you have pearls, lace, ribbon, and a snowflake button on your creation. Wow!! you're stepping out Mrs L. Hugs Suzi x

Hi Elaine, lovely card and painted beautifully with your new paints. The lace and the pearls give it that cosy feeling, the blue satin bow with the snowflake finishes it off perfectly. Thank you for taking time to keep us smiling. I must apologise for not being in touch, hopefully things are beginning to brighten up for you and your family...Trish
