My First Christmas Card......

......and probably my last! I'm sure I will make some more Christmas cards, but I never make half as many as I actually need. I always start with the best of intentions but simply run out of time.

The stamp is from Elzybells, sadly the business is closing, so if you're looking for a bargain there's a sale on with a massive 50% off. The DP is from the Spiceberry pack from Memory Box available from Elaine at Quixotic PaperieI've used the darker Kraft cardstock on this card for a change. The flower is a Prima, I've coloured with DI's as usual and I paper pieced her dress because I didn't like the colour I'd painted it. Her wings are very glittery, not that you can see it with my photo taking skills!

Right, I'm off to get ready for bed. We've had a jam packed weekend and I'm absolutely shattered!
Thanks for looking and for any comments you may leave.
Love Elaine xx

  7. This looks wonderful Elaine. The image is very cute and the papers look fab. Great tip about paper piecing, if I colour something wrong I end up putting it in the scrap box, but not anymore. :-) xx

  11. The paper piecing really sets off the paper in the layering - brilliant idea. Love the snowflake pinking border & this is a brilliant lesson in layering - will have to come back to this, commenting at 0320 is not sensible!

  15. Covering up a "mistake" is fab instead of binning it - and we would never have known if you hadn't told us. CUTE card - and I will cheer for you to get some more done - xmas is far away still and I am certain you will. I make all of mine (expect those for people who wouldn't appreciate it - they get a charity one from a store - YES I do that and without blushing - no need to make something for a person who couldn't care less!) =0)

  16. Lovely card Elaine, love the way you paper pieced the dress, isn't it funny how sometimes our mistakes end up producing a better card, lol.
