Carnival Balloon

I did fully intend to post this card several days ago but I've been working much longer hours all week and I just haven't had the time. Then of course Mr Blogger has been  bloggering about and making things difficult for everyone!
I made this card following Sugar Bowl sketch 58 (not the current one but the one previous) I know that many folks have already seen this card on the Sugar Nellie Facebook group but I said I would post it here too to show the difference between this one and the Butterflies and Pigtail's card which I disliked so much that it did go in the bin.

Same papers but I used pink around the image on this one. You can judge for yourselves but I much prefer this card.

Thank goodness it's the weekend and I can look forward to spending it catching up with the cleaning/washing/ironing since Cathy did not turn up and do it for me! Though I did try and tempt her as Cathy knew I already had set 7 of the Sassy stamps in my possession!
Don't forget that over on the Simply Sassy Blog they are having a blog hop at 8am and you can buy the stamps at Funky Kits now.

Right I'm off to my bed as it's late and I'm pooped.
Love Elaine xxx

  2. Sleep well. OK I also prefer this one - but it really wasn't bad enough for the bin......... I do understand - however - for I have dismantled or binned my own. Have a good weekend - the clenaing fiary is quite elusive..........

  9. Hi Elaine
love love love your card, (but I did really like the other one as well).
I hope you get my comment, as I'm sending it from my hospital bed, leg op done (Friday 13th) what a day to have an op lol, I am THE worlds most stuposous person BUT I had to get rid of the constant pain. AND (this will make you laugh) I did make sure that the anaesthetist and the surgeon knew what the day & the significance of it was. And so I TOLd them to be extra careful, & that if I wasn't to wake up then I would come back & haunt them for the rest of their days rotfl. The anaesthetist had a lovely sense of humour & said that I was like a breath of fresh air (so sweet of him bless him),unlike the surgeon, who told me that he treats Friday 13th like any other day lol.
I have now just been ticked off by a jobs worth who said (and I quote) you really should be resting, thank goodness I am going home today.
So sorry to hear that you have a day of housework etc etc, unlike me
no housework/ironing etc for a few weeks for me, so I'll have lots of crafting time (you never know I may even get a blog up & running) did you see that pig flying across then.
Sorry for the long comment (just hope it gets to you) can you tell I'm fed up with being in hospital lol. I'll have to go now as Cruella has just shot a disgruntled stare at me.
Big hugs to you my lovely friend
