...And put it in your pocket
Save it for a rainy day.
Well, that rainy day has arrived!
The last time I took some holidays from work, I managed to colour a couple of spare images. Just one was left in a drawer, all alone in the dark, so I thought it was about time I used her on a card.
Now anyone that knows me will also know that I'm not much of a Tilda fan but I saw THIS stunning card over on Mandy's blog and I had the overwhelming urge to buy my first ever Tilda!!
Thank you Mandy...like I need another addiction :)
And so my first Tilda card was born. But I did buy another stamp after seeing THIS divine card over on Dena's blog...yeah, yeah Dena, just fan the flames lol.
I do need someone to teach me how to add embellishments!
OK, so this is Tilda Catching Stars and she's coloured with DI re-inkers and markers.
The gorgeous papers were from Maria for my birthday, thank you sweetie :)
The heart swirl and clover flower are both Magnolia dies, and the little star tag and sentiment is from PTI.
I've been asked if I will list the colours I've used:
Skin: Tattered Rose, Tea Dye.
Hair: Antique Linen, Walnut Stain.
Dress and Socks: Spun Sugar, Victorian Velvet, Aged Mahogany.
Shoes: Pumice Stone.
Stars, Crown, Wand: Sparkling Lemonade, Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade and Rusty Hinge.
There are so many extremely talented crafters out there who love their Tilda's and create stunning works of art with them. I mean no disrespect to any of them by mentioning only the blogs above.
I couldn't even begin to list all the Magnolia themed blogs I visit!
I found a challenge I can maybe enter hooray!
Midweek Magnolias is asking for "Elegance" not sure whether it fits the theme or not.
Thanks for looking.

ReplyDeleteTilda's and Magnolia dies, yaaaayyyyy you're hooked, always happy to help lol
big hugs Mandy xx
Personally I like your individual style - & I wouldn't add anything else to this or you'd obscure the pattern. That's what I like about your work - you respect the pattern of the paper you are using & embellish accordingly. That's a real talent in itself.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend.
Paula (PEP)

Sorry I've been A.W.O.L. I have been soooooooooo busy, had one of my grankidliwinks came to stay on her own for a week (she got me into BIG BIG trouble) after telling Hubby where ALL my NEW crafting stash was, last time I'll tell her a secret lol. Then our daughter came to stay for a week, with 4 more of our grankidliwinks so didn't get the chance to visit any one's blog.
hugs
