Good Morning :)
I'm back today with a card for the new Sugar Bowl challenge. As always, we have a fab sketch to follow, this time from Sweetie Fi, with an optional theme of 'Shabby Chic'.
I've used another 'Annie' stamp...just cos I luvs her a lot :)
She is an older image and sometimes the older ones get neglected as we are all so desperate to ink up our new rubber. So when I was cleaning out the boxes of stamps in my craft room, I also spent a little time inking up some of my older images...so here is Catch A Falling Star from the Leanne Ellis range.
As usual, she is coloured with a mix of DI re-inkers and markers.
Skin: Tattered Rose and Tea Dye.
Hair: Antique Linen and Vintage Photo.
Pinks: Spun Sugar,Victorian Velvet and Aged Mahogany.
Blues: Tumbled Glass, Broken China and Faded Jeans.
Star: Sparkling Lemonade, Mustard Seed and Rusty Hinge.
The delicious papers are from The Scrapcake - The Bright Side of Life, sadly these are now discontinued (sniffle sniffle ) I thought the papers had a 'shabby chic' feel to them.
Not much else to say about this card...it's a bit bare on the old embellishment front..just a few pearls, some glamour dust on the star and the sentiment is from Elzybells (no longer trading) cut out with MFT Fish Tail banner dies.
As always, there is a prize chosen at random for one lucky winner, their choice of any 4 Sugar Nellie stamps, rising to 6 stamps if we reach 100+ entries.
Please check out all the other gorgeous cards over on the Sugar Bowl from my Sweetie sisters.
Thanks for looking.

ReplyDeleteLove the way you matched those spotted papers to the your colouring of her spotted skirt - it's probably the other way about but extremely effective & your use of patterned papers is quite something to watch.

This is lovely! I like how you were able to incorporate so many of the flowers on the papers in the design. Will have to try and play along again. So much rubbah, so little time...or energy.

ReplyDeleteYou're right and I am making the effort to use some of my older stamps, love rhis one. Those papers are lush and for once I have to say no more embellies needed as the roses on the corners act as embellies.
