Sugar Bowl Challenge ~ 96

Eeeee but I'm like a bus! You wait around for a bus for ages then two come trundling along at the same time!
No posts in 10 days then two posts (almost) together :)

It's Sugar Bowl day..always a good reason for me to smile, and believe me, smiling is not coming easy to me this week. I'm full of cold, thanks to my darling husband and his generosity!
For this challenge we have a fab sketch from Sweetie Maria, and an optional theme of 'Sparkle and Shine'.

I chose to make a Christmas card with the gorgeous stamp Wish Upon A Star.
As always, she's coloured with DI re-inkers and markers.
The papers are Maja Design Vintage Winter from Creashop Duymelot, the sentiment is from Whimsy and there's not much else going on here but a MFT snowflake, a little rose and a doily.
It's a super sparkly card full of glamour dust, but you'll just have to take my word for it since the photo doesn't catch the sparkle.

As always, there is a prize chosen at random for one lucky winner...their choice of any 4 Sugar Nellie stamps, rising to 6 stamps if we reach 100+ entries.
Please bob on over to the Sugar Bowl and check out the gorgeous cards from my Sweetie Sisters.

Thanks for looking.
Love

  6. Oh no - that was not very kind of him.
She's beautifully & delicately coloured - just so shabby chic with style & cuteness all rolled into one. A real "Elaine" creation this one.

  8. Hi Elaine
VERY pretty card, love the image & the paper's & the sentiment oh & the doily, in fact I love everything about it (nuthink new there then) lol.
Sorry to hear that your darling Hubby has given you a cold. I had just got over a horrible throat & ear infection (which knocked me for six), then 4 of our adorable Grandkids came to stay for half term & 2 of them had cold's & throat infection. They have now returned home, BUT guess what they have left Grandpop & Nanny with (yes you have guessed it) their horrible cold & throat infection, it's a good job we love em to the moon & back lol.
Sending you HUMONGOUS healing HUGS & hope you feel better soon.
    hugs

  10. Good morning Elaine, what a way to wake-up seeing this delightful little creation you've posted. Simply adore her in all her sparkles & shine. Yes i can see it !!!
You have such an amazing touch with those Distress Inks getting the most wonderful shading on her. Thanks for starting my day off on the right foot. I've been in a bit of a slump lately & you have made my day with this little cutie, LOVE the little pearls you've added in her hair & scattered about.
Have a wonderful day & look forward to another "work of art" from you.
    Big hugs, Janie

  11. As always you amaze me with your coloring. Your shading is so dramatic but yet very soft color in the rest of the image, I couldn't accomplish that in a million years. Lovely card and it would look very nice in my xmas package hint hint!

  21. Hi Elaine, you have just put a wee smile on my face before I go to bed. What a gorgeous card, I could sit and look at her for ages. The colouring is superb as always, with gorgeous papers to match. Sorry to hear that you got that old unwanted gift of the cold, I try to have a teaspoon of honey every day I'm convinced it does help keep the bugs away. I hope I don't have to eat my words next week! Take care and have some whiskey with the honey it'll work faster...Trish
