Happy Birthday Amanda!!

Today I want to wish my lovely, kind, sweet, funny ( and slightly nutty ) friend Amanda a very Happy Birthday. I hope you have a fabulous day, wonderful in every way...just like you
OK, that's enough of the slushy mushy stuff.

Naturally I made a card for Amanda and I was waiting  until her birthday before posting it here, though I know darn well that she opened it last week - Sheesh but some folks are sooo naughty!

A gorgeous little flower fairy designed by Sylvia Zet for Wee Stamps, available HERE as a digi or HERE as a set of rubber stamps.
As always, she's coloured with DI's, the markers this time.
The divine papers are Pion "Vintage Garden" - they are so beautiful that I just can't cover them up. (They were a gift from one of my wonderful friends, thank you sweetie )
I've used a variety of dies...Lil' Inkers for the image, MFT for the Fishtails and La-la Land for the sentiment.
Nothing much else going on, but you know me...I like the simple things in life :)

I think this is the last of the 'here's one I made earlier' cards, so I'd better get my bum back in my craft room and have a bash at some colouring, or else I'll be sharing recipes next week!

Thanks for looking.

Daisy...Daisy...Give Me Your Answer Do...

Yes, this is another card I made weeks and weeks ago, ready for Gayle's birthday to arrive, long before I started with this neck and shoulder trouble, but I am pleased to report that I am feeling much better and I'm hoping to get back to some colouring soon.

We are off work next week...yes, that's the 'Royal' we - me, hubster and the boy - and we're hoping to get away for a few days, so I might be here and I might not. We're just waiting to see what the weather turns out like before deciding whether to go away or just have a few days tripping out and about.

Back to the card....

The image is of course a Tilda...they are starting to develop into an addiction!
As always, she's coloured with a mix of DI re-inkers and markers.
The papers are again from the Maja Design Vintage Spring Basics...I do love this pad - a lot.
Not much else apart from a punched flower, a couple of bought flowers, the butterfly was cut from one of the sheets of Maja paper, a few pearls, and the sentiment stamped on to La-la land banner die.

Thanks for looking

Here's One I Made Earlier!

I did tell you I would be back with a card :)

Thankfully I have a few cards that I'd made before I started with this neck/shoulder problem, and this one was for the recent birthday of the lovely and uber talented Mandy.

Because it was for Mandy then the image had to be a Tilda, and I really wanted to use a special one that I'd been searching for, with very many thanks to Kees and Astrid at Creashop Duymelot for getting this for me...you're the best ♥

She's coloured with DI re-inkers and markers (made a bugger of her hair but by then I'd spent so long colouring the rest of her that I was running out of time to make another card)

I was desperate to use these gorgeous papers from the Maja Design Vintage Spring pad, I love lilac!
A Doo Hickey heart flourish, MFT butterflies, punched flowers and a sentiment from PTI.

Have a fun and fab day :)
Thanks for looking.

Papertrey Ink Candy ~ Winner

Well that was a shock!
I really didn't expect this candy to be so popular....someone please remind me to just add the Blue Frog link to all candy's so I don't have to write down all the names on strips of paper!

All the names went in a little jar and the hubster picked out...

Congratulations Trish!!
If you could please EMAIL me with your full postal address and I will get your goodies popped in the mail.

My neck and shoulder is feeling slightly better - much to my relief as I'm really getting fed up and grumpy with not being able to craft!
I haven't made anything for 3+ weeks now but I have a few cards I'd made earlier which I will start to pop on here. I hadn't showed them as they are all birthday cards for bloggers and I wanted to wait until they had received them.

Be back soon :)
Thanks for looking

Papertrey Ink Candy

This is the last of the candy's...for now.

PTI goodies are not something I've offered as candy before, they are a bit of a niche market, not the cute and cuddly stamps that lots of card makers prefer, but I LOVE them!

Good points:
They make a vast range of stamps and coordinating dies, and they are of exceptional quality. The stamps cover every occasion you can imagine, and no-one has a bigger range of sentiments.
The dies are made from American steel and cut paper, card stock, felt, fabric etc.

Bad points:
They are like Unicorn poop. (hard to get hold of if you live outside the USA.)
You can only buy them from America, they have no other retail outlets. The postal charges are quite expensive and I ALWAYS get caught with customs charges and vat.
(I do see them for sale on Ebay UK, but the prices can get very, very high)

Please note...these are the small stamp sets!

Heart-2-Heart No11 stamps, see HERE, and the coordinating die.

Framed Out No12, see HERE, and the coordinating die.

1 pack of 24 sheets Rustic white card stock 8.5" x 11".

I know there won't be so many people that enter this candy because of what it is, so I haven't bothered with the blue froggy this time, just leave a comment and the boy will pick a name out of the hat.

Big hugs
Elaine

Blog Birthday Candy No3 ~ Winner

This is just a quick post...I have a trapped nerve and it's painful to type....much more upsetting is that colouring is impossible as I can't grip my brush - and it's a Bank Holiday weekend, 3 whole days off work and I've done exactly nothing, what a waste :(

OK, so I'm here just to announce the winner of the candy ~ many thanks to all that entered.

Mr Random picked number....

Congratulations Tina!

If you could please EMAIL me with your full postal address and I can get your goodies in the mail.

I am thankful that the previous weekend I wrote up and scheduled quite a few posts so the final candy will be on here shortly.

Thanks for looking.

Blog Birthday Candy No 3.

This is a sticky post and will remain at the top...please scroll down for any newer posts.

And on with the 3rd candy.

I had a 'pink' theme in mind when I started collecting bits 'n' bobs for this candy but then I sort of wandered off course...nothing unusual there then!

 Candy consists of:

2 x Whimsy Stamps - Wee stamps by Sylvia Zet.
Rosetta from the latest release and Suzi With Bunny, just because this is one of my favourites.
2 x Joy Crafts Vintage Flourishes dies, leaf branch and flower.
1 x Britannia small rose die - there is an fab tutorial on Youtube on how to use this die to create your own roses and it's easy..must be if I can do it!
1 x Mulberry flowers in Raspberry Truffle.
4 x Wooden Cotton reels wound with twine.
(I've wound all my twine onto cotton reels and store them in a glass jar...for no other reason than they look so darn cute!)
1 x Flower Buds in assorted colours as shown.
1 x adhesive pearls in pink.
1 x adhesive crystals in assorted shades as shown.

Rules of entry are exactly the same as before.
The candy is open worldwide, though I am not liable for any customs charges that some countries impose.
Candy is open to my followers only, new and existing, but please have a conscience, don't become a follower just to enter!
There are no other rules..you can post it on your sidebar if you wish, but it's not a requirement.
In the interest of fairness (and because it's my blog and I can do whatever I like!) entries from 'candy only' blogs will be deleted.

Just click on the blue froggy to enter.
Thanks for looking.

Sugar Bowl Challenge ~ 103.

Today I'm back with my card for the new Sugar Bowl challenge.

We are again using the theme of 'anything goes' and the one and only rule is that you must use a Sugar Nellie image, either a rubber stamp or a digital image.

I was definitely having 'one of those days' when trying to put this card together!
Nothing went right at all. I couldn't manage to cut a piece of card straight and I used 2 full sheets of bazzil and numerous sheets of DP. Which resulted in me running out of the paper and being kind of stuck, since I had nothing else to match.
I emptied every box of embellishments in my search for something suitable, but nothing looked right.
So the result is a VERY plain card, even by my standards.

The one thing I do love about this card is the image.
Catch A Falling Star by Leanne Ellis is one of my most used rubber stamps.
She coloured with a mix of DI re-inkers and markers...yellow is not a colour I use often at all even though I love yellow, reminds me of Spring days.
The papers are again from the Maja Design Vintage Spring Basics pad.
And the sentiment is from an old Elzybells set, stamped onto La-la land stitched tabs dies.

As always, there is a prize for one entrant chosen at random. Their choice of any 4 Sugar Nellie images.
But you've got to be in it to win it!

Thanks for looking.
