Yes, this is another card I made weeks and weeks ago, ready for Gayle's birthday to arrive, long before I started with this neck and shoulder trouble, but I am pleased to report that I am feeling much better and I'm hoping to get back to some colouring soon.
We are off work next week...yes, that's the 'Royal' we - me, hubster and the boy - and we're hoping to get away for a few days, so I might be here and I might not. We're just waiting to see what the weather turns out like before deciding whether to go away or just have a few days tripping out and about.
Back to the card....
The image is of course a Tilda...they are starting to develop into an addiction!
As always, she's coloured with a mix of DI re-inkers and markers.
The papers are again from the Maja Design Vintage Spring Basics...I do love this pad - a lot.
Not much else apart from a punched flower, a couple of bought flowers, the butterfly was cut from one of the sheets of Maja paper, a few pearls, and the sentiment stamped on to La-la land banner die.
Thanks for looking
Love
So happy to hear that you are starting to feel better! Some time off sounds wonderful. We have been taken by surprise by a very early summer, but I have to spend my time studying, its hard to fight the urge to run away from the books. Very soon I am going out on the terrace to read. Hope you get some lovely weather too!
ReplyDeleteYour card is so stunning! Magnificent coloring, Tilda looks beautiful! Gorgeous papers and I love the embellishments and sentiment.
Lots of hugs, Anne.

Brilliant to hear that you're improving & the news about next week. What caught my eye with this one is the absolutely delightful way you have made that little flower with the yellow centre as an embellishment to echo the coloured one. Super the way she is actually standing on the sentiment too.

Hi Elaine, great to see another card and she's a beauty. Your colouring is superb as always, as is your choice of papers. The patterns are so delicate, I love the wee banner. So glad you have a few days to chill out and enjoy some time with hubby and Hal, take care with that neck and shoulder. Some sunshine would be great here's hoping you find some. Kind regards Trish.
ReplyDeleteMy mum always used to sing this song when she was cooking or cleaning or such! I think I saw this on FB, but I have to add that I love the depth of colour you have created while keeping the softness. Perfection. X

Love the little banner die and how you cut out the butterfly. I have carefully cut all of my new Pion papers into their appropriate 6x6 size and stored them away for gawking at. Not cutting into. Ever.
ReplyDeleteOh Elaine you ooze talent!! this card is gorgeous with lush paper too!!
