Totally Tilda Challenge ~ 79

Good Morning my lovelies!

It's time for a new challenge at Totally Tilda and the theme for the next fortnight is "Tilda at the seaside or BBQ"
Before I get down to my card, we have some exciting news!
We have a guest designer with us for the next 3 months...
She's amazingly talented, her colouring is simply jaw-dropping, and she can embellish too...not going to be friends with her! No Sir-eee!
Only pulling your leg Mel, I'm delighted to be working with you

Back to my card.
As I'd got some stamps from the new Sea Breeze collection, I went with the Seaside theme...

Tilda on The Beach has been coloured with the usual bad boys...DI re-inkers and markers.
I got the new colours of markers off my BFF Amanda - thank you mwah mwah mwah - and I was itching to use them. I particularly love the shade Evergreen Bough as I have many papers in this shade.

The papers are Echo park Sweet Day - a birthday gift from last year! I now, I'm so bad, but I use do use all my stash eventually.
The waves were cut with a set of PTI dies, as were the little clouds.
Scantily embellished with a bit of twine, a fishy charm and some enamel dots.

Our lovely sponsor for this challenge is Bunny Zoe's Crafts

And the prize is

There's a stunning display of cards from all the other DT girlies over on the Totally Tilda blog.

Thanks for looking.

Sparklies ~ Candy Winner!

Just a quick post from me to announce the candy winner.
It's been so busy here, so stressful and I am so very tired! This child will be the death of me!
The boy is off to Uni. He didn't get a place at his first choice (Manchester Met). If he had then he would be living at home for the next three years and catching the tram to Uni each day.
But he did get in at London Met, which meant a mad search for accommodation began. I had to get out the jump leads and re-start Phil's heart...he should be in the penthouse suite for what it's costing, not a standard room. Of course we will manage, we have no choice, but my crafty shopping days are well and truly over.
And I have told the child in no uncertain terms, that he had darn well better work his butt off or I'll be using the jump leads on certain bits of his anatomy!

Back to what I'm here for...a big thank you to all the magpies that entered the candy, there can be only one...

Congrats to Erika!!
Please email me with your full postal address and I'll get your goodies popped in the mail to you.

Thanks for looking.

A BIG Birthday!

Good morning my lovelies:)

Today I have a card to show that I made a couple of weeks back, to send to a very sweet lady on her special birthday - her 60th to be exact!
I was a very good girly and didn't stick a mahoosive 60 on the front, but opted for a small, discreet one on the inside instead. And it had to be in shades of pink.

Tilda with Spitz Pocket has been coloured with DI re-inkers and markers.
The delish papers are again Maja Design Sofiera.
A sentiment from PTI, a teeny butterfly and a few pearls.

I'll be back in a couple of days to post the candy winner :)

Thanks for looking

Blog candy ~ Sparklies!!

When it comes to blog candy, I think hard what to offer.
What would other crafters like to win?
Of course we all have different tastes, and what one person loves then maybe another won't, but my main priority is that any candy is made up of things I love, I buy and I use.

A few months ago I was searching for a gift for the upcoming birthday of my BFF who happens to suffer terribly from an incurable condition called Magpie Syndrome. She is attracted to all things shiny and sparkly...dilated pupils, rapid shallow breathing, feeling red and flushed, eyes like saucers, yep she has it bad!
And searching online I found exactly what I was looking for and ordered some goodies.
She was delighted with them and asked me for the details of where I'd bought them from.
Last week I posted a photo on Facebook of the goodies I'd bought for myself and I was surprised at how many people asked me where I'd bought them from.
You know it's my duty to lead you all into temptation, right?

And what better way to introduce my newly found shop than with a candy?
With this in mind, I emailed the lovely ladies at The Handcrafted Card Company to ask if they would be willing to make me up a goody bag containing a selection of their glorious products.
And I received....

A beautifully decorated box...look at the sparkle on the brooch!!
(Darn it! The ribbon is straight, my legendary photography skills came out to play again!)
My original idea was to post just a photograph of the box...the contents would remain a surprise, but then I had to go (after carefully removing the brooch and untying the ribbon) and open the box, just for a peek.
Oh dear me....I'm suddenly transported back in time to being a little girl and I'm opening the lid of a treasure chest. The contents are seriously gorgeous.
(don't worry, I retied the ribbon and replaced the brooch )

Not wanting to totally spoil the surprise but still wanting to give you an idea of what's in store, I took a photo of the contents. But you can only see the top items, not those nestling underneath :)

A gorgeous selection of pearl and diamante embellishments, ribbon sliders, brooches, ribbons, roses and I'll say no more - I need to leave some surprises.

So...would you like to win this?

Candy is open worldwide, but I am not liable for customs charges that some countries impose.
Candy is open to my followers and friends.
If you're a regular reader then you'll know I don't make any strict rules but if you've time then I'd love you to leave me a comment letting me know what you would like to use these goodies for if you won them. The Handcrafted Card Company supplies goods aimed at the wedding market and DIY wedding stationery, and I've seen their products used on wedding cards, bouquets, shoes, tiaras etc. Whereas I mainly use them to embellish gift wrapping and boxes, I'm just interested to hear what you would like to use them for.
If you wish to spread the word then that would be greatly appreciated.

Finally, one entry per person please, but The Handcrafted Card Company also has a Facebook page, if you wish to visit their page you can find it HERE and if you hit the 'like' button on their page then you can enter the candy twice (just let me know in a comment that you've done it) and double your chances!
Thanks for looking and good luck.
Edited to Add: If you've 'liked' the FB page can you please add your name to the linky twice. So I can use Random to pick the winner...thank you
It seems some folks can't add their name twice.
Those that mentioned they'd 'liked' the FB page but couldn't add their name for the 2nd time, I've added the names myself, otherwise it wouldn't be a fair draw.

Totally Tilda Challenge ~ 78

Good Morning my lovelies :)

Today we have a new challenge at Totally Tilda and the theme for the next fortnight is 'Tilda's Wedding'.

As always, Tilda is coloured with a mix of DI re-inkers and markers.
The papers are Maja Design Vintage Spring basics...still loving these papers and I've now started on pad No2.   A strip of lace (I wish I knew where this had come from, I could do with some more!)
Tilted banner die and stamps from Simon Says Stamp, a punched flower with some sparkle from The Handcrafted Card Company, a few pearls and some Doodlebug design bling (thank you honey).

Our generous sponsor for this challenge is Sir Stampalot

And the prize is TWO Magnolia stamps.

You'll find a gorgeous array of cards over on the Totally Tilda blog from all the other lovely Tildarettes.

I've not been around much this last week (yet again!) which I can only apologise for.
My Mum suffered a stroke on Tuesday and was admitted to Hope Hospital.
Thankfully, due to the speedy actions of my Dad, the ambulance service and the fantastic treatment by the doctors and nurses, she is recovery very well.

Sweet Sparkle

Good morning :)

I have a card to share that I actually made a few weeks ago, but I was waiting for it to make it's journey across many miles to reach it's final destination.

*sigh* I love this image and these papers ♥
Sweet Sparkle is of course designed by the amazingly talented Sylvia Zet and she's available as a rubber stamp HERE or as a digital image HERE.
She's coloured, as always, with a mix of DI re-inkers and markers.
Purples and pinks are colours I use often but on their own, not together, but this was in homage to my friend, (and my hero) as it's a favourite colour combo of hers.

I used lots of birthday goodies on this card...my new Lil' Inkers stitched circles dies, Maja Design Sofiera papers, Simon Says tilted banner die and sentiment, and those little enamel dots.
Thank you to all my friends, for all my lovely goodies...you're the best ♥

I have a lovely weekend planned! The hubby is working away in Wales and won't be home until Sunday evening or even Monday. The boy just sleeps away his days, as does the cat, so it's like being home alone.
And I plan to spend some time in my craft room (sort of praying that no visitors turn up!)
After all, I deserve it! Especially after this morning's trauma!
We were broken in to a couple of years ago, on a Saturday morning between 7 and 8am. Phil had bobbed into work and left home at 7 and discovered the burglary on his return an hour later. I was traumatised because I'd slept through it, blissfully unawares upstairs in my bed.
Since then, I've become slightly obsessed with security, but especially when Phil's working away.

Phil left early this morning while I was still asleep, but I woke up to the sounds of the bin men crashing and banging around outside, and I did wonder what on earth they were doing to make so much noise, they don't usually wake me up. So I might as well get out of bed, and make myself a cuppa. Halfway down the stairs I stopped dead in my tracks at the sight of the front door...wide open.
Jeez but I thought my heart was going to explode, it was banging so hard!
We'd been broken into again? Is there someone still in my house??
Nope, someone had left the door wide open on his way out this morning!! No wonder I thought it was so noisy outside.
I deserve a crafty weekend just to recover from the shock of it all!
(and I deserve some online shopping to ease the pain of my distress)
