Snowflake Garland

Good morning !

Oh how I needed that extra hour this morning. With Phil being away the last couple of weeks and Hal now being at Uni, I've been home alone and it's very quiet, so very quiet. And I can't sleep!
I can't get to sleep and then I'm awake early...like 6am early last Sunday. I don't get up at that hour when I'm working, so I needed that extra hour in bed today.
There is a plus side to being home alone...less washing and ironing and less cleaning which only goes to prove what I already knew...that it's boys that make all the mess.

I was off work last week and I managed to get through most of the jobs I had planned and still had some play time :)

This is the gorgeous Snowflake Garland Marci.
As usual, she's coloured with DI's but all markers this time.
I love colouring Marci but I must try and colour her hair in a different shade, I always colour her blonde and I don't know why?
The papers were a gift last Christmas from Maria - thank you sweetie
Ribbon is from the Ribbon Girl, Vintage Ivory Fluted Sheer and Ivory Satin Ribbon.
Lots of glamour dust on the snowflake garland, and on the chipboard snowflake.

Thanks for looking.
Love 'n' hugs

  5. Elaine, you card is a beauty again, but that is no surprise since your work is always stunning!!!!!!!! I love the blonde hair and tend to do the same color hair for most of my girls too haha, don't know why. Love the gorgeous sparkly snowflake that looks distressed on the edges, what a pretty touch!!
Sorry you haven't been sleeping, I don't sleep well when Tom is gone either and his job requires him to travel several days out of the month whaaa!!!
    Have a wonderful Sunday Elaine!!!

  12. That chipboard snowflake really catches the eye & leads it along the garland that Marci is holding. I love the way your colours work together in this with the blondness of her hair just mellowing the icy gluey-grey of the rest.
Glad you managed to have some playtime for yourself as well as getting through the jobs. It must be very strange to home completely alone after having Hal at home when Phil's away. Do take care of yourself.
    Much love

  17. Hi Elaine, such a cutie, coloured to perfection as always. She suits being a blonde and it's never too heavy for her sweet little face. It's nice to have some time on your own, but come bedtime it never feels quite the same. After years of sharing a bed and a home the silence can be unsettling, maybe that's why we can't enjoy a long contented sleep. Hope you had a good weekend regardless of the lack of sleep...Trish
