Good Morning my lovelies.
I'm back today with a card for the Totally Tilda challenge, and the theme for the next fortnight is "Halloween Tilda".
This is a first for me - I've never made a Halloween card before!
I'm not into the whole thing though I do always buy sweets for the kiddies that come a-calling.
This Tilda definitely comes under the heading 'Too Cute to Spook'.
She's been coloured with DI markers.
The papers are from Doodlebug Design, as are the gems, which were a gift off a lovely lady...thank you honey.
The cute little bat was also a gift off another lovely buddy - she sent me a bag full of fabby Halloween embellies as she knew I didn't own any myself...thank you too honey.
Our generous sponsor for this challenge is...
And the prize for one lucky winner is this fabulous set of clear stamps.
If you pop on over to the Totally Tilda blog you'll find lots of inspiration and the most Spooktacular creations from the other girlies.
Thanks for looking.
Love 'n' hugs

Elaine! This is too cute and GREAT colors!!! The little bat is a super fun touch and your coloring finishes it off beautifully.
ReplyDeleteI don't really like Halloween either, but will hand out candy. I didn't realize England had the holiday too.
Have a great day!
Hugs, Dena
Not your typical style but I still like it! I think the polka dot button is a cute touch!
ReplyDeletelove your gorgeous Tilda card, I am another one that does not do halloween.......but like Tilda...... I need to go and get my brush out lol, can't sit here all day!

Oh Elaine!!!! I love your first Halloween card!!!! Tilda is so beautiful and the papers and bat are perfect!!!! I also don't know what to do with Halloween cards. You did soooo good! Hugs, Brigitte
ReplyDeleteLove this card Elaine. However, I am sorry but I don't get it with these Tilda images. I find them freaky and ugly. The strange shape to the face and no features. Yuk! But your design and colouring are both amazing. Love all the embellies too. Hugs, Carol S.xx
ReplyDeleteI could be wrong but in my opinion I generally find in all walks of life that when someone speaks out in such a nasty way about what they feel are someone or something's inadequacies (in this case Tilda) that person is obviously lacking something of a similar nature in there own life !! After looking on your blog and seeing no photos of you it leaves one wondering if my theory is in fact correct !!
DeleteIn defence of poor Tilda who you have slated with your unnecessary and cruel description I have felt the need to speak up for her because as you so rudely pointed out she has no mouth of her own to put you in your place !!
I write this on behalf of myself Susie Sugar and all the other millions of Tilda fans who would be as upset as I am to read such hurtful things written about such a sweet little character.
So Carol S next time you feel the need to voice your opinion is such a distasteful way one hopes you will think twice before opening your mouth
I generally find in life that there are two types of people. Those who have an opinion but tend to keep it to themselves so as not to hurt peoples feelings and those who voice their opinion regardless of the upset it may cause. You may not like Tilda images Carol S and that is perfectly acceptable - after all if we all liked the same things the world would be quite a boring place - but did you really have to be quite so rude about a beautifully put together item such as this?? Everybody is different so why not live and let live. Perhaps in future it would be better not to comment at all eh??
DeleteThis is gorgeous,love the image...great layout.xxx

gorgeous card Elaine xx
ReplyDeleteOh I love this image and how you colored it! Such sweet and beautiful papers, and perfect colors. Love the little bat. :)
ReplyDeleteSo they do celebrate Halloween in England too? In Norway it is very new, and I dont like it. The past 10-15 years it has spread, but it is still just the kids who celebrate, and to me it feels like a cheap copy of what we see on tv. But apart from not actually wanting to celebrate it, I love Halloween. Strange, yes, and maybe a little double standard?
Hugs, Anne.
Beautiful card Elaine, your colouring is perfect as always.
ReplyDeleteNo We don't do Halloween either, we don't really have any small kiddies around here either.
Lovely to see you smiling at me when I logged on :o)
Huge Hugs Mau xx
