Sugar Bowl Challenge ~ 68

I'm back with my card for the new Sugar Bowl challenge and this time the sketch is from Sweetie Kiki.
Now I loved this sketch and really enjoyed putting the card together. Definitely one I will use again.
The optional theme is 'Autumn' which you can interpret as you wish..autumnal colours or image or both?
I did struggle a little with the theme this time, only because they are not the colours I would normally use, but I guess that's why it's called a challenge ha! A good few hours were spent rummaging through my papers to see if I could find anything suitable.
I was pleasantly surprised at how this card turned out in the end, much better than I expected it to.


This gorgeous image is called Hello Little Friend..aren't they so sweet? And a pure delight to colour with a mix of DI's and SU inks. The papers are some old Bo Bunny called Kitchen Spice which I bought from Jill at The Hobby House. The wings have been liberally drowned in glamour dust which you can see better in this next photo...

A little die cut flower held together with a pearl brad (again from Jill ) and the sentiment is 'Tiny Tags' stamps and dies from PTI.


I rotated the sketch (cos I was desperate to ink up this stamp!)
The prize for one lucky winner is a choice of any 4 Sugar Nellie stamps, but if there are 100+ entries then the prize will increase to any 6 Sugar Nellie stamps.

    I love the fall colors and you have the perfect combination on this card. I also love the cute little flower...the perfect touch. I don't know what glamour dust is but the wings are fabulous...maybe I need to sprinkle some on me! Beautiful job...this is such a cute fall fairy!

    Delightful the way that die-cut flower mimics the image in your patterned paper. I absolutely love the colours & your colouring of this image. I'm going to have to acquire some of these stamps but that will have to be after my treat next week - the Cardiff Show!

    love your card, these are sooooooooooooo not the colours that I like/would use (but as per usual) you have managed to show me that I should think out of my usual comfort zone, cos I love your card, image is so sweet love her sparkly wings (may just have to slip her in to my basket, at Ally Pally at the week-end) lol.

    I'm glad you had fun in Harrogate, I would love to go to that show! You are right it is fab to meet folks!
    I think you are so right about what one person might like another person won't like so much. A lot of the time the rejection is all about not quite fitting what the Editor, DT leader etc, is looking for at the time. But it is still hard to not take it personally. I think that is why I like Julie's post so much, it puts it all into perspective!
