Good morning.
I have a card to show you today made with another of Sylvia's gorgeous Wee Stamps ~ Peggy.
Isn't she just gorgeous?
I've coloured her using only DI markers this time, I'm still practising with them but I do like the softer colouring.
The papers are from my favourite paper company ~ Pion Design 'Alma's Sewing Room'.
I adore the delicate feel to their designs.
I know that the image has little to do with sewing, and the bottom sheet of paper has scissors on it, but I love the colours and wanted to use them and in my mind these are gardening scissors and Peggy has been out in the garden cutting some flowers for in her basket.
That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it :)
There's never much in the way of embellishments on my cards, but with papers so pretty it would be a sin to cover them up - that's another of my excuses!
Just a few pearls, a butterfly (MFT and Cheery Lynn) and a sentiment from PTI stamped onto MFT Mini Tabs Quartet.
Thanks for looking.
Love
This is so gorgeous! Your coloring still blows me away every day. I love your technique! :)

Dear Elaine
ReplyDeleteYour card is gorgeous - I love this sweet stamp and your coloring is fantastic and these papers mhhhhhhhh, I LOVE them...!!!
Enjoy the day, hugs

There are no excuses necessary - definitely think the gardening scissors fit the bill - you need dainty little scissors for cutting flowers sometimes so the stems don't get crushed. I too like your softer colouring with the Distress Markers, am hoping to have a play myself to see how they compare with the Tombows, Whispers & Stampin' Up that I have (can't you just tell that I was a felt pen/pencil collector as a child?).
ReplyDeleteAnyhow after that little essay - love your placement of the patterns - that rose corner is a treat & the butterfly a perfect balance - especially as Peggy's looking in that direction & the eye is drawn upwards again from the bird........now pls Mr Blogger don't lose this
Paula (PEP)
Oh I agree, I don't think I could cover up those paper either and love how you singles out that rose corner image for the accent. My birthday is in May don't forget, just set this one aside for me.
