Wee Stamps ~ Shelley

I am here today to show you another of  Sylvia's gorgeous designs. 

This beautiful little mermaid Shelley is available to buy now as a digi image over at Wee Stamps and for the rubber stamp lovers, keep watching Whimsy Stamps HERE for its release.




Isn't she simply gorgeous? And look at the cute little turtle!

I started off by choosing the papers and then colouring the image with a mix of DI re-inkers and markers.
Then I added the cloud paper - MME Fine and Dandy, True Blue - to the base card and then cut a circle aperture with a nestie. I cut a thin circular band from cardstock to line the outside edge of the aperture.

The waves were cut from paper out of  MME The Sweetest Thing Lavender pad and stuck down to slightly overlap the aperture. 
The image is placed on the inside of the card...it looks much nicer in real life but it was so difficult to try and take a photograph showing how the image is placed inside!

The sentiment is from PTI, as are the cloud dies.
There's plenty of glamour dust on Shelley and a few tiny pearls.

    Morning Elaine..

    OOoh you've made a fab job of this card... slightly different than your normal style... and so gorgeous! Love how you've created the waves for the image.. and how you've placed the image inside the card... gives almost a porthole type impression!!

    And of course... I love your PTI sentiment and clouds... but NO... no more PTI wishlist for me..... yet!! LOL

    Quite delightful the way you've made scenery using the papers & also added those clouds with the tiny heart - lovely touch that. The aperture gives a semblance of a porthole too so it's all beautifully nautical.

    Hi Elaine, it's been a busy week and I completely forgot to check your blog, not sure wher my time goes now I'm retired. Gorgeous card as always, the immages are so cute it makes it hard to choose just a few. Love the soft colouring, looks so good with your papers.
