Just A Little Candy Winner and an Award.

Firstly today, a big Thank You to everyone who entered my little candy. Sadly there can be only one winner for this candy and Mr Random.Org did his job this morning and picked.....

Last week I received a very sweet award off the sweetest lady in blogland - Shirley. More commonly known as Nannieflash. I know that Shirley knows lots of lovely bloggers so it's an extra special treat that Shirley chose to pass this on to me.

Now I have to tell you 3 sweet things that have happened to me. Now this is hard to do as I have lots of sweet things that have happened to me.

1. The very sweetest thing has to be my lovely boy. I loves him to the moon and back, and as I type this I am eagerly awaiting his return from the school skiing trip to Austria. There will be big hugs this afternoon, like it or not. Yes I will like it and Hal will probably not! But I WILL be having big hugs - or else there will be NO special meal for him! It's called blackmail, but I'm fine with it.

2. I have the sweetest husband ever. I loves him to the moon and back too. Oh he can be a grumpy old man sometimes, but he's MY grumpy old man, and I shall be forever in debt to my old friend Vicky who introduced us to each other more than 20 years ago. He makes me laugh, he makes me cry, occasionally he makes me want to throttle him! But most of all he makes me happy, comfortable and content.

(And he does give me nice, fat wads of cash for the craft show ha!)

3.Lastly, sweet things happen to me regularly from the lots of lovely friends I've made in blogland. These things vary from a phone call, a text, an email, a card in the post, a crafty parcel in the post, and lots of lovely comments. All these things are sweet and all are appreciated and brighten my day....thank you to all my friends and visitors.

Now the hardest part of this is to pass it on to three other sweet bloggers. But I know so many sweet people!

So in no particular order I would like to pass this on to:

Amanda from Cards,cats and copics. Amanda is the sweetest gal ever (if a little nutty around the edges!) She always makes me laugh and she also makes the most beautiful cards...go pay her a visit!

WOW! You are loving those LOTV stamps aren't you? I didn't realise just how popular they are. I usually put hAnglar stamps on as candy but it appears the LOTV are just as popular if not more so. This is the little en-suite bathroom, and one Sunday morning I heard a noise, so I rolled over and opened my eyes and was confronted by this sight, Lisa with her big, fat ass stuck up in the air and her head down the toilet bowl drinking the water!

An award

I've got a lovely award off two of my lovely blogging buddies, Patty and Christine. Thank you ladies for thinking of me!

This is an award I've not seen before and it comes with a $5 gift certificate to spend at Digi's With Attitude store. Firstly I have to tell you 3 unknown facts about me/things that make me different from others.
Gosh this was hard!
1. I'm a very tidy crafter (unlike most of you! Don't deny it, I've seen your WOYWW photos!) In fact, I'm very tidy full stop. My mottos are : There's a place for everything and everything in it's place AND cleanliness is next to Godliness. If that last bit was true then I would be up there with Saint Phil!
I tidy up every day when I get home from work, I hoover up, load the washer and do the ironing.
If only I was a little less anally retentive about housework I would maybe spend more time crafting!

2. Although I often come across as being self assured and confident, I am actually rather shy until I get to know people. And if there's any trouble I'm the one looking guilty even though I've done nothing! You can ask my darling hubby about that. Who gets stopped and searched every single time we go through passport control.....me!

3. It would seem I plod through life slowly and steadily. But I'm really a duck! Whilst I'm calmly glided along seemingly effortlessly below the water my feet are going like the clappers! Deep down inside I'm never really quite sure what I'm doing and if I'm doing it right!

Next I have to pass this on to 5 other bloggers.

Blog Award

I've got my laptop back tonight. Yey, I'm so happy! I didn't realise how much I could miss a piece of metal.
I just need to catch up on emails now, I've read them all but I still need to reply to a dozen or so.

That's the first two done. So 3 things I love about myself?
1. I love my family and my friends, and they are all a part of what makes me ME.
2. I love to make things, which in turn led me to start my blog (eventually) which opened up a whole new world to me, added lots of new friends and new opportunities.
3. I love my strength!  I've never thought of myself as being a strong person, but I have learned that at the times in my life when I have needed to be strong (or brave?) I have reserves I never realised I possessed
