An award

I've got a lovely award off two of my lovely blogging buddies, Patty and Christine. Thank you ladies for thinking of me!

This is an award I've not seen before and it comes with a $5 gift certificate to spend at Digi's With Attitude store. Firstly I have to tell you 3 unknown facts about me/things that make me different from others.
Gosh this was hard!
1. I'm a very tidy crafter (unlike most of you! Don't deny it, I've seen your WOYWW photos!) In fact, I'm very tidy full stop. My mottos are : There's a place for everything and everything in it's place AND cleanliness is next to Godliness. If that last bit was true then I would be up there with Saint Phil!
I tidy up every day when I get home from work, I hoover up, load the washer and do the ironing.
If only I was a little less anally retentive about housework I would maybe spend more time crafting!

2. Although I often come across as being self assured and confident, I am actually rather shy until I get to know people. And if there's any trouble I'm the one looking guilty even though I've done nothing! You can ask my darling hubby about that. Who gets stopped and searched every single time we go through passport control.....me!

3. It would seem I plod through life slowly and steadily. But I'm really a duck! Whilst I'm calmly glided along seemingly effortlessly below the water my feet are going like the clappers! Deep down inside I'm never really quite sure what I'm doing and if I'm doing it right!

Next I have to pass this on to 5 other bloggers.

I'll be back hopefully this week with my Christmas candy, I know it's early but I'd really like to get it drawn and winnings sent out before the real Christmas postal rush starts.

Thanks for looking.
Love Elaine xx

  1. Think I must be your shadow - except Saint R maintains I'm the untidiest he knows - but he rehangs the washing I hang out - just because it's not symmetrically hung & would dry better!! & Mrs Guilty until proven innocent.

  4. You Shy??? No way Elaine, but I fully get you on the guilty bit, I've always been that way myself. Just got some time to catch up with all my blogging buddies tonight, seems ages since I've had the chance, but hopefully things will slow down soon...LOL, hope you are keeping well my friend.

  5. Thanks for the "window into your soul" Elaine... :) I will confess, I am a nutcase when I craft (perhaps it just as well I can only squeeze out a day a month!) Things fly every which way, I have ink all over myself and sticky bits in places I won't mention! :) I think I've even glittered a cat (unintentionally!) once or twice. Ah well... to each his/her own. Congrats on the award!

  6. Hi Elaine
Well done on being given an award, couldn't have gone to a nicer person.
I'm so pleased that I am not alone on the tidy front, (in fact I drive the hubbster mad at time's), I HAVE to tidy up any mess that I have made in my craft room, elsewhere in the house, and he will say just shut the door on it, it will still be there tomorrow, but he know's that I WON'T/CAN'T leave it lol.
    hugs

I can just see you starting to flush and look from side to side at passport control. It happens to me all the time too, but I think thats just cos I have a 2 year old and they always pat her down and them me! Wonders never cease!

    Sending lots of hugs
